“In whom the god of this world (Satan) hath blinded the minds of them (Unbelievers) which believe not, lest the light of the glorious gospel of Christ, who is the image of God, should shine unto them.”
2 Corinthians 4:4”
ENCOURAGING WORD: As I scroll through certain social media sites, it always amazes me how many people there are that deny Bible Prophecy, and what amazes me the most is that they are the ones that are actually fulfilling it just as it was written by the prophets of old thousands of years ago. Let me share with you the most obvious example. As we continue to move forward toward the end of days, Bible Prophecy is being fulfilled every day at a remarkable pace. One that we all should notice is the fact that so many people are falling away from the true doctrine of the Bible and filling it with false teaching or teachings that do not line up with the Bible in the context in which it was written. This is happening just as the Bible prophesied, and we read this in the Following Bible verses.
1 Timothy 4:1-2; “Now the Spirit expressly says that in latter times some will depart from the faith, giving heed to deceiving spirits and doctrines of demons, speaking lies in hypocrisy, having their own conscience seared with a hot iron,”
Paul tied the work of these false teachers to the last days before the return of the Jesus Christ as we just read above in 1 Timothy 4:1–2. The New Testament is consistent in describing these days in which we live as the last days or end times before Christ returns, but yet, very few churches teach on the topic of eschatology. (The part of the Bible that is concerned with death, judgement, and the final destiny of the soul and of humanity)
We also read in; 2 Peter 3:3-5; “knowing this first: that scoffers will come in the last days, walking according to their own lusts, and saying, “Where is the promise of His coming? For since the fathers fell asleep, all things continue as they were from the beginning of creation.” For this they willfully forget that by the Word of God the heavens were of old, and the earth standing out of water and in the water,”
These two prophesies above are in full bloom today. This is the reason that I said in the first line; “Fulfilling Bible Prophecy without even knowing it.” All those that fall into this category, which is most people, are fulfilling the prophecies of the Bible that they are denying to be true. They are denying the true existence of what was written thousands of years ago.
2 Peter 3:3-5; warns of mockers in the "last days" who deny Christ's return, living by their own desires, and deliberately ignoring God's past acts of creation and judgment (as in the days of Noah) to dismiss future judgment. The meaning of prophecy is a call for believers to remember God's power shown in creation and the Flood, to remain steadfast against skepticism, and to live righteously in anticipation of Christ's coming, understanding that the scoffers' disbelief stems from willful ignorance and sinful living, not logical reasoning.
Jesus himself had warned that false prophets would come and lead many away from the truth.
Matthew 24:11; “Then many false prophets will rise up and deceive many.
Christians are not defenseless against these false teachers. Peter describes two more things that are true of them: They are scoffers (mocking the return of Christ), and they follow their own evil desires. That is, as Peter wrote in verse 2, they openly engage in immorality and try to encourage Christians to join in with them.
Prophecy fulfillment by unbelievers often refers to historical or current events, like Herod's massacre or geopolitical shifts (such as Iran's actions), that align with scriptural predictions, demonstrating God working through non-believers (even unwitting ones) to achieve divine purposes, as seen in Jesus's crucifixion or the calling of Israel out of Egypt, strengthening faith for believers while often leaving unbelievers unconvinced by prophecy alone.
Examples of Prophecy Fulfilled by Unbelievers
Jesus's Crucifixion: Wicked people, including unbelievers were used by God to bring about the prophecy of Jesus's death, which served His ultimate redemptive plan. Those that were fulfilling the prophecies of the Book of Daniel, were once again, the ones that didn't read it or take it seriously. If they would have read and studied the book of Daniel, they would have known the exact day that Jesus Christ, their Messiah, would proclaim himself to be the Messiah. They outright denied the prophecies given by God to bring about their Messiah to the exact day. This denial is the reason that Israel was scattered into the world for the last two thousand years.
Herod the Great: His violent actions, like the slaughter of innocent children two years old and younger fulfilled prophecies from Jeremiah (Rachel weeping) and Hosea (Israel called out of Egypt).
The primary "Rachel weeping" verse is Jeremiah 31:15; describing bitter weeping and lamentation as Rachel mourns her children (Israel) taken into exile, famously quoted in Matthew 2:18; to describe King Herod's massacre of infants in Bethlehem, symbolizing profound maternal grief and loss.
Jeremiah 31:15 ; "Thus saith the Lord; A voice was heard in Ramah, lamentation, and bitter weeping; Rachel weeping for her children, refused to be comforted for her children, because they were not."
In Jeremiah 31:15, Rachel, the matriarch and symbolic mother of Israel, weeps for her children who are being slaughtered as a direct order from Herod the King, representing the profound national grief and loss of the northern tribes, with her refusal to be comforted highlighting the overwhelming despair, but this lament foreshadows a future restoration and hope promised by God later in the chapter, fulfilled in the hope of the Messiah.
Who is Rachel?
Matriarch: Rachel was Jacob's beloved wife, mother of Joseph and Benjamin, and through them, ancestress of prominent Israelite tribes (Joseph's sons Ephraim and Manasseh).
Symbolic Mother: She represents the collective maternal heart of the nation, embodying Israel's deepest sorrows.
Matthew 2:18; "In Rama was there a voice heard, lamentation, and weeping, and great mourning, Rachel weeping for her children, and would not be comforted, because they are not."
But with all this evil, a promise of future comfort and return are found in various verses in the scriptures. One such promise is the one that Jesus personally told, that Israel would be regathered into their own land in the last days and that happened just as Jesus said it would on May 14, 1948. Coincidence, I do not think so! Jesus said it and it came to fruition just as will many other prophecies that are yet to be fulfilled.
Key Bible verses about Israel's regathering to their own home land promise include Ezekiel 37:21-22, where God says; He will gather Israel from nations back to their own land; “Then say to them, ‘Thus says the Lord God: “Surely I will take the children of Israel from among the nations, wherever they have gone, and will gather them from every side and bring them into their own land; and I will make them one nation in the land, on the mountains of Israel; and one king shall be king over them all; they shall no longer be two nations, nor shall they ever be divided into two kingdoms again.”
Then we read in; Ezekiel 36:24; “For I will take you from among the nations, gather you out of all countries, and bring you into your own land.” Once again, this was fulfilled on May 14, 1948. Where Jesus promised to bring them from all countries back to their land; which speaks of the Lord recovering His people from scattered locations.
Isaiah 11:11-12; “It shall come to pass in that day that the Lord shall set His hand again the second time to recover the remnant of His people who are left, From Assyria and Egypt, From Pathros and Cush, From Elam and Shinar, From Hamath and the islands of the sea. He will set up a banner for the nations, And will assemble the outcasts of Israel, And gather together the dispersed of Judah From the four corners of the earth.”
For those that are being taught that God is through with Israel, show these verses to your pastor or priest and watch them explain them purposely away just as they do with so many other prophecies. This lie has set up a very dangerous belief which is antisemitism. This lie has cost many Jews their lives. If you are a part of this horrific movement, you will be judged eternally for your hatred of God’s chosen people.
Another important passage is found in; Amos 9:14-15; “I will bring back the captives of My people Israel; They shall build the waste cities and inhabit them; They shall plant vineyards and drink wine from them; They shall also make gardens and eat fruit from them. I will plant them in their land, And no longer shall they be pulled up From the land I have given them,” Says the Lord your God.”
This is speaking of a permanent restoration and will never to be uprooted again. If you are taking a part of all the protests that are taking place on college campuses, know this, You are persecuting Gods chosen people and the King of Israel (Jesus Christ). When you stand before Jesus at the White Throne Judgment, you will not like the outcome, but it will be one that you chose and one that you deserve.
Modern Geopolitics: Those that understand the Bible interpret current events, such as conflicts involving Israel or specific military actions (like Iran's), as fulfilling Old Testament prophecies from Ezekiel or other prophets, often involving non-believing nations or leaders. Everything that is written in Ezekiel, Chapters 37 and 38 are all falling into place just as prophesied thousands of years ago. Most people are saying that the world is falling apart, when in reality, the pieces are coming together. If you're a believer, then the pieces are coming together just as promised, if you are an unbeliever, then the world is, indeed falling apart, which is also prophesied. This event that is foretold by Ezekiel is on the very near horizon. All the pieces of the puzzle are in place exactly as prophesied. There are two prophesies that I believe have to take place before this war will break out in full bloom. I believe that there has to be a short time of peace in Israel, which we can see shaping up as we speak. I also believe that the rapture has to take place before this war can break out for obvious reasons. Ezekiel prophesied that all the nations of the world would go up against Israel when Israel is apparently living in peace with unwalled villages. As long as the born again believers are still here, the nations that are predominantly true Christians will not attack Israel. This is speculation on my part. This could be debatable as to when the rapture will take place, but I do believe it has to happen before the Gog and Magog war can take place. But once again, those that do not believe in prophecy are fulfilling the exact words spoken of by Ezekiel.
Why Unbelievers May Fulfill Prophecy!
God's Sovereignty: God uses all people, believers, and unbelievers, to carry out His will, even if they do not realize it. Believers are usually not the ones fulfilling Bible prophecy because they see all these things taking place without their intervention. They read the Bible, believe what they read and then watch prophecy being played out. It is mostly those that do not believe Bible prophecy that fulfill it. How ironic!
Fulfillment of Covenant: Promises (like curses on those who curse Israel) can manifest through the actions of unbelievers. We read this in the following Bible verse; Genesis 12:3; “I (God) will bless those (nations) who bless you (Israel) , And I will curse you (nations) who curses you; (Israel) And in you (Israel) all the families of the earth shall be blessed.”
All through history every nation that went up against Israel no longer exists. When the war of Gog and Magog takes place, (which is on the near horizon) every nation that goes up against Irael will be defeated including America. America may be destroyed before this war because once we turn on Israel, and it will happen in an instant, God will bring judgment upon America just as He did to Sodom and Gomorrah. That will take place shortly after the rapture of the church because there will be no Christians left in America. The only reason God has not judged America yet is because we are still an Ally of Israel and we will remain an ally until the liberals take control here in America. They are antisemitic and will turn on Israel as soon as they can. Either the rapture or the change in government will bring about the Gog and Magog war. We will remain under Gods protection until we turn on Israel. I don’t need to be a fortune teller to know that this is coming soon. This is another prophecy being brought on by unbelievers. The list goes on.
Impact on Unbelievers
Varying Responses: While fulfillment can bring excitement to some, many remain unconvinced, preferring intellectual proof or personal revelation over events, as seen with the Pharisees and Jesus. There are those that understand the Bible and know for a fact that what is happening in our world has all been written in advance, but those that will not accept that truth of the Bible believe everything is a coincidence. Psalm 14:1; “The fool has said in his heart, “There is no God.” They are corrupt, They have done abominable works, There is none who does good.”
Unbelievers are labeled as fools in the Bible. The Bible also says: Romans 1:18; “For the wrath of God is revealed from heaven against all ungodliness and unrighteousness of men, who suppress the truth in unrighteousness,” This verse is declaring that all people know there is a God, they are just suppressing the truth in unrighteousness because they do not want to be held accountable to anyone including God. I would say that is a good definition of a fool!
Proof vs. Conviction: Fulfillment serves as powerful evidence for believers, but often is not enough to compel faith in hardened skeptics, who might dismiss it as coincidence or historical interpretation. The birth of Jesus Christ had 109 prophecies involving His first coming and yet there are those that will dispute the facts that 100% of those prophecies were fulfilled to perfection. Those are the same ones that deny that all the prophecies of His second coming will happen either. Half of those are happening today as we speak with many more to come. We are on the verge of all things being fulfilled just as the Bible prophesied thousands of years ago.
Biblical Perspective;
A Sign, Not Just for Unbelievers: While ignorance is primarily a sign for unbelievers, prophesying is often for the encouragement of believers, though God uses prophecy to reveal His plans to all. Believers are very encouraged when we see prophecy being fulfilled right down to every jot and tittle. Matthew 5:18; “For assuredly, I (Jesus) say to you, till heaven and earth pass away, one jot or one tittle will by no means pass from the law till all is fulfilled.” Every element of Bible prophecy will be complete right down to the smallest detail. Being that we are most definitely living in the end days, we can expect every prophecy to be fulfilled in our time.
Challenge to False Gods: Isaiah 41:21-23; “The Lord, the king of Jacob, says, “Come, present your arguments. Show me your proof. Let your idols come in and tell us what will happen. Idols, tell us what happened in the beginning. We will listen closely so that we can make a decision. Tell us what will happen in the future. What signs did you give in the past to prove that you really are gods? Do something! Do anything, good or bad, so that we can see that you are alive. Then we might fear and respect you.”
The theme of challenging false gods is a recurring motif throughout the Bible, emphasizing the supremacy of the one true God over idols and false deities. This challenge is often portrayed through direct confrontations, prophetic declarations, and divine acts that reveal the impotence of idols and the sovereignty of Yahweh.
Who is the true God? Today, this most important question faces all mankind. Although humans worship a multitude of gods, only One can give us life and offer us a happy future. Only of One can it be said: “By him we have life and move and exist.” Acts 17:28; “for in Him we live and move and have our being, as also some of your own poets have said, ‘For we are also His offspring.”
Indeed, only one God has the right to be worshiped. As the heavenly chorus in the book of Revelation says: Revelation 4:11; “You are worthy, Jehovah, even our God, to receive the glory and the honor and the power, because you created all things, and because of your will they existed and were created.”
How can we be sure the Bible is divinely inspired and therefore worthy of our trust? By prophecy fulfilled! No other religion has specific, repeated, and unfailing fulfillment of predictions made many years in advance of events over which the predictor had no control. Finite human beings know the future only if it’s told to them by an infinite being. And God provided this evidence for us so we would know that the Scriptures have a divine author: “For I am God…Declaring the end from the beginning, and from ancient times things that are not yet done” The Bible’s sixty-six books, written between 1400 BC and AD 90, contain approximately 3,856 verses concerned with prophecy. And here is the best part! Over 25 percent of the entire Bible contains specific predictive prophecies that have already been fulfilled, literally. Sir Isaac Newton said, “I find more sure marks of authenticity in the Bible than in any profane history whatsoever.” You ask, “Then how come some people don’t believe the Bible?” Because they haven’t opened their hearts to God!
Paul writes in: 1 Corinthians 2:11-14; “No one knows the things of God except the Spirit of God. Now we have received, not the spirit of the world, but the Spirit who is from God, that we might know the things that have been freely given to us by God. These things we also speak, not in words which man’s wisdom teaches but which the Holy Spirit teaches…the natural man does not receive the things of the Spirit of God, for they are foolishness to him; nor can he know them, because they are spiritually discerned”
If you believe the Bible is the true and inherent word of God, which means it is 100% true, Then you should be very interested in prophecy because it is God revealing the future to us as we read in the following Bible verse. 2 Timothy 3:16; “All Scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness,” If you don’t believe the Bible is the true and inherent word of God, then you have much bigger issues than what’s happening in our world.
Know this, the Bible teaches that God warns His people of future events, especially judgment, through His prophets, famously stated in; Amos 3:7: "Surely the Sovereign LORD does nothing without revealing his plan to his servants the prophets". This principle is seen in Noah's ark, the plagues of Egypt (warning Pharaoh), and Jesus' prophecies about Jerusalem's destruction, all showing God's mercy in giving chances for repentance before acting. God is revealing His plans to modern day messengers and we are still not listening, just as did with all those that didn't take heed of His warnings brfore.
One more very important truth to understand. People are asking how many more prophecies have to take place before Jesus can return. That is a loaded question because, since there are two fazes of the return of Jesus, there are two different answers. Let me put it this way. There are no prophecies that have to happen before the rapture of the church, The rapture is immanent which means it could happen at any moment. Even Paul taught that it could have happened in his time. On the other hand, there are many events that have to take before Jesus can physically come back to earth, which is concrete evidenec of the rapture. If you say that He can come back at any time, and then in the same breath declare that certain events have to take place first, you're contradicting yourself. How can He come back at any moment if certain events have to happen before He can physically come back. Common sence plays a big role in understanding. Its also very dangerous to believe Jesus can't come back today. Think about it! I could go on and on about this, but I think you get the message.
Let me end by saying this; If you do not believe the Bible is 100% true and inherent, then you are fulfilling prophecy just as it was written. You are fulfilling prophecies of the Bible that you do not accept as truth. The sad thing is this, the prophecies that you are rebuking are the same prophecies that are going to affect you in the near future. Because of your ignorance, you will suffer beyond words when they come to fruition because you did not take Gods warnings seriously. You will then believe and there will be nothing that you will be able to do about it.
May the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace in believing, so that by the power of the Holy Spirit you may abound in hope.
The grass withers, the flower fades: but the word of our God shall stand for ever.
