“A Nation Divided” Author and Writer Ronald Nelson

BIBLE MEDITATION:

“But Jesus knew their thoughts, and said to them: “Every kingdom divided against itself is brought to desolation, and every city or house divided against itself will not stand.” Matthew 12:25;

ENCOURAGING WORD:

Bible verses about a divided nation emphasize that internal conflict leads to destruction, instability, and inevitable downfall, as stated in Matthew 12:25, Mark 3:25, and Luke 11:17 ("a house divided against itself cannot stand"). Key scriptures also include prophecies of future unity and warnings against being "lukewarm" or having divided loyalties, Revelation 3:16; “So then, because you are lukewarm, and neither cold nor hot, I will vomit you out of My mouth.”

What is very interesting is the fact that America is not mentioned in the end time scenario, so something has to take place for America to be out of the picture. There are plenty of thoughts as to why, but the one that I lean towards is as follows. Our country is divide without a doubt. Its divided between good and evil. What we are facing is a spiritual battle. Its not a political battle as most believe. The battle that we are facing will determine where you spend eterinty based on what you accept as truth. I personally believe as many great Bible scholars do, that the next event on Gods prophetic calendar that will take place is the rapture of the church. Once the rapture happens, all those that appose Jesus Christ will remain on earth to face the seven year tribulation. That is when I believe God will judge America with harsh judgements that will turn America into a third world country. Let me enlighten you to some facts. God never judges the righteous with the wicked. Noah’s ark is the most obvious event that supports my view. God saved Noah and His family from the flood that destroyed the world. All but eight people perished because of the evil that filled the world.

Another story, God would not destroy Sodom and Gomorrah until Lot and His family were removed. The Bible verse Genesis 19:22 indicates that God would not judge Sodom and Gomorrah until Lot and his family were safely gone. An angel tells Lot, "But run there fast, because I cannot destroy Sodom until you are safely in that town. Genesis 19:22. emphasizing that God's mercy necessitated the rescue of the righteous before destruction.

Context: The angels were sent to destroy the cities due to their extreme wickedness Genesis 18:20-21; "And the Lord said, “Because the outcry against Sodom and Gomorrah is great, and because their sin is very grave,  I will go down now and see whether they have done altogether according to the outcry against it that has come to Me; and if not, I will know.”

The Promise: In "Genesis 19:22; "Hurry, escape there. For I cannot do anything until you arrive there.” Therefore the name of the city was called, Zoar,  the angel states: "Haste thee, escape thither; for I cannot do any thing till thou be come thither"

Safety of the Righteous: This action demonstrates that God will not sweep away the righteous with the wicked, a concern raised by Abraham in; Genesis 18:23-25; "And Abraham came near and said, “Would You also destroy the righteous with the wicked? Suppose there were fifty righteous within the city; would You also destroy the place and not spare it for the fifty righteous that were in it? Far be it from You to do such a thing as this, to slay the righteous with the wicked, so that the righteous should be as the wicked; far be it from You! Shall not the Judge of all the earth do right?”

Lot's Delay: Despite the impending destruction, Lot delayed, prompting the angels to forcibly lead him, his wife, and his daughters out of the city. Genesis 19:16; "And while he lingered, the men took hold of his hand, his wife’s hand, and the hands of his two daughters, the Lord being merciful to him, and they brought him out and set him outside the city.

Another interesting fact is, usually when war is going to be declared, the ambassadors of that nation will be removed before destruction. This fits the mold perfectly, before God judges the world, His ambassadors (The church) will be removed before destruction.

I’ll share this next verse that I believe could have a double fulfillment.

1 Thessalonians 5:3-4; “For when they say, “Peace and safety!” then sudden destruction comes upon them, as labor pains upon a pregnant woman. And they shall not escape. But you, brethren, are not in darkness, so that this Day should overtake you as a thief.”

These two verses happen to fall right in the middle of the passages that teach the rapture of the church. I believe this could also refer to (The Abomination of Desolation) spoken by Daniel the Prophet. When this event takes place, God tells His people to head for the hills, because all hell is going to break out on earth This will definitely cause sudden destruction.

Now let me share some key Bible verses on Divided Nations & Kingdoms

Matthew 12:25; "But Jesus knew their thoughts, and said to them: “Every kingdom divided against itself is brought to desolation, and every city or house divided against itself will not stand.” Kingdoms divided against themselves are destined for extinction. Civil war doesn't make for powerful nations. Divided cities and houses, likewise, do not stand. They fall. The point, one Jesus clarifies in the following verse, is that Satan would not cast out the very demons he sent out to oppress people. He would only be defeating himself. Matthew 12:26; “If Satan casts out Satan, he is divided against himself. How then will his kingdom stand?

Mark 3:25 "And if a house is divided against itself, that house will not be able to stand".

The word "Divided" is from the Greek root word merizo, which means to separate into component parts and distribute those parts. "Stand" is from the Greek root word histemi. It means to maintain authority and force, to keep whole. The word translated "House" refers to the members of the house, the family. This phrase is better known in American culture for its use by President Abraham Lincoln during the U.S. Civil War. Lincoln pleaded for a united nation, rather than one bound for destruction through conflict. If you think about it, there are people in the south that still hate people from the north because of the civil war. They weren’t even involved in the war; they just hate northerners because of what they read. Our nation is divided like never before, only this time, whether you know it or not, it is a spiritual war between good and evil. And if you do not know what side is good and what side is evil, then you are most likely on the side of evil.

Luke 11:17; "But He knew their thoughts and said to them, “Any kingdom divided against itself is laid waste, and a house divided against itself falls'".

It's very possible that by talking about divided kingdoms Jesus is alluding to, and reminding the people what happened when Solomon's son Rehoboam took the throne. Rehoboam put such a burden on the people that his rival, Jeroboam, had no trouble taking ten tribes from the nation of Israel. This divided the northern kingdom of Israel from the southern kingdom of Judah. The nation was recovered for a short time under the Maccabees, but at Jesus' time the land is divided into Galilee, Samaria, and Judea under the authority of the Roman Empire. The illustration of the divided family is exemplified by the Herodians. At Jesus' birth, Herod the Great ruled Idumea, Judea, Samaria, Galilee, Decapolis, Perea, and districts to the north. When he died, his territory was split, three of his sons taking smaller territories. Not long after, the largest region was placed under a Roman procurator.

So, in Jesus' era, Jews were constantly reminded of what a divided kingdom and family look like. Jewish autonomy was definitively "laid waste."

1 Kings 18:21; “And Elijah came to all the people, and said, “How long will you falter between two opinions? If the Lord is God, follow Him; but if Baal, follow him.” But the people answered him not a word.”

This verse in the Bible brings up a very valid point. Elijah said, If the Lord is God, follow Him; but if Baal, follow him.” This is very relevant in our country today. If the Lord Jesus is your God, then there is no way you can support those that are evil. In case you don’t know what I referring to, the party that endorsed Abortion, pushes for Gay Marriage, and go against all the laws that our country was founded on. We are a Christian nation and if you are not a true born again Christian, that’s your choice.

Those that understand the Bible and the Word of God, support those that hold to the Bible being the true and inherent Word of God. You either believe in what the Bible teaches or you don’t.

Now let me expand on what is going on in the middle east. For those of you that support Islam, the evil religion of Iran, you are supporting Satan’s army. Islam is the most evil religion in the world, in fact it is not a religion, it is a psychosis. It is a religion bent on destroying every religion on earth. In case you haven’t noticed they have been trying to remove every Jew off the planet earth since the beginning of time. Also, have you noticed that every time they try, God protects them and has always left a remnant. Islam will not succeed with their agenda. Islam has also been noted to scream out, “Death to America’ If you support these evil Satan driven people, then go over there and live with them for a while, you will be screaming to come back to America. They will tey to kill every Jew and Christian without any remorse because their god (Satan) has to annihilate the nation of Isreal to fulfill his agenda.

Let me show you why Satan has to annihilate the world of Jews and Christians. Matthew 23:39;  “for I (Jesus)say to you, (Israel) you shall see Me no more till you say, ‘Blessed is He who comes in the name of the LORD!’ ”

This verse is why Satan has to destroy the Jews. If Satan can kill every Jews, then there will be no Jews left to say, “Blessed is He who comes in the name of the LORD!’ Jesus said He would not come back until the Jews petition Him to come back. Jesus is a God of His Word. If every Jew were killed, then Satan would be the god of this world and his ultimate plan is to destroy civilization and with out the presence of God, it would only take Him about 100 years and then life as we know it would not exist. There would be no people to populate the earth. Satan would be victorious. Now, so you don’t get all bent out of shape, this is not going to happen. I just wanted to point out how important the Jews are to civilization. Without them we would all perish. Now, for those of you that support Islam, you are going to lose. You will suffer a fait that is worse than anything that you could ever imagine and it will be well deserved.

I’m going to go out on a limb, and it is going to anger a lot of people, but I don’t care, truth is truth. I will use the Bible as my authority. The demonic democratic party is as evil as they come. They support everything that goes against what the Bible teaches. So, if you support this evil regime, do not call yourself a Christian. You may think you are a Christian because you attend a church, but know this, going to church does not make you a Christian any more than walking into a garage makes you a mechanic. If you say that you are a Christian and love Jesus Christ, then you can’t support a party that is in favor of killing the most innocent of life, Gods unborn children.

When America turns on Israel, and it will, God will judge and destroy this one time great nation, and you will get a front row seat. A seat that you really do not want, but it is your choice. This is a fact and it could play out very soon.

Now, if I made a lot of you angry, that’s not my intent. My intent is to make you aware of what is coming and hopefully you will wake up and turn to Jesus Christ for truth before it’s too late. The best thing that you can do is stay away from social media, they are poison for the soul. They have been telling lies for so long that they don’t even know what the truth is anymore.

Here is one of the many reasons that America will be judged harshly in what I believe will be in the very near future.

The United States is a dominant global force in the sexual lifestyle industry, driven by high consumer demand, massive entertainment exports, and a thriving, innovative sexual wellness market.

Key findings regarding America's role in this, as a "leading exporter" or, more accurately, a major driver and influencer of global sexual, social, and commercial trends, include:

Global Driver of Consumption and Content: The U.S. is considered a top, if not the leading, consumer and exporter of pornography. American media, including film and television (e.g. Game of Thrones, The Wolf of Wall Street), frequently exports highly sexualized content that shapes global perceptions of relationships and sexuality.+

Dominance in Sexual Wellness Market: North America (largely driven by the U.S.) leads the global sexual wellness market, accounting for over 34% of total revenue. This market, which includes condoms, lubricants, and sex toys, is expected to reach over $62 billion by 2030.

Cultural Shifts ("Hookup Culture"): The U.S. has popularized a "hookup culture" through dating apps and media, with studies indicating that around 80% of college students have engaged in some form of uncommitted sexual behavior. They call it, friends with benefits. One benefit that you will definitely experience is eternity in the Lake of Burning Fire, and there will be no sex where you are going.

Influence of Non-Monogamy: While traditional marriage remains, American culture is increasingly influencing global trends toward alternative relationship structures, with approximately 10% of Americans identifying as non-monogamous. (having only one mate, spouse, or sexual partner.) That statistic is very sad. Our parents and grandparents that have passed on before us would roll over in their graves if they knew what was going on today.

Human Trafficking and Exploitation: The U.S. is noted as one of the top three nations in the world for human trafficking, driven by the demand for sexual exploitation. It is also identified as a top purchaser of sex with children, with a significant portion of the global $152 billion sex trafficking industry occurring in the U.S..

The "export" of these lifestyles is largely facilitated by the global reach of American technology, social media platforms (Instagram, YouTube), and entertainment, which normalize these behaviors on a global scale. If you don’t believe in Jesus Christ as your Lord and Savior, then your opinion doesn’t matter, but if you say you are a Christian, this should bother you beyond words. If it doesn’t, than I would say your Christianity is in vain.

America is well overdo for judgement. The only thing keeping us from judgement is the fact that we are a strong Ally of Israel and as long as we stay a strong ally of Israel, we should be okay.

Sodom and Gomorrah

God punished Sodom and Gomorrah primarily due to the severe wickedness, pride, and rampant sin of their inhabitants, which included sexual assault, extreme inhospitality, greed, and injustice, according to biblical and religious traditions. Their actions, described as a disregard for moral law, prompted the destruction, which also serves as a warning against such behaviors in the Bible What we are doing in America makes Sodom and Gomorrah seem like Disney Land.

Sexual Immorality and Violence: The cities were known for grave sexual sins, including attempts at gang rape against guests, symbolizing deep corruption and violence.  Has anybody noticed lately that you can’t even watch a commercial on TV without some kind of sexual content. Almost every movie in the last decade and before have been filled with violence, strong language or sexual content. We were a nation blessed by God and know we are spitting in His face. We are rapidly turning into an anti-Christian nation.

Lack of Hospitality and Injustice: The residents exhibited extreme selfishness, refusing to help the poor and mistreating travelers, which was considered a severe violation of ancient social codes. We have also made greed an ever-growing issue in America. Those who are filthy rich, won’t dig in their pockets to save even a family member. The dollar bill has turned into the God of America. Those that have millions of dollars are never satisfied; they always want more. Ask a rich man, “How much is enough”. There answer is “Just a little bit more” no matter how much they have. This is becoming another division in our country, and I can promise it will get worse. Everybody is heading in one of two directions. The upper class of the rich and famous and those that are heading toward  poverty.

Economic Greed: Reconstructing Judaism highlights "economic egoism" and an insatiable desire for wealth as key, underlying sins.

General Wickedness: The Bible states the outcry against these cities was great, indicating a pervasive culture of wrongdoing, pride, and contempt for God's laws. Pride and egos are also rising in these days in which we live. Side note: Do you know what sin God hates the most? Pride!

Proverbs 8:13; “The fear of the Lord is hatred of evil. Pride and arrogance and the way of evil and perverted speech I hate.”

James 4:6; “But he gives us more grace. That is why Scripture says: “God opposes the proud but shows favor to the humble.”

Proverbs 16:19; “Better to be lowly in spirit along with the oppressed than to share plunder with the proud.”

There are so many more verse in the Bible that speak harshly about pride. I have to say, I see this particular sin in just about everybody I know. What upsets me the most is when I hear a pastor teach the Bible very well, but then you see the extreme pride that they have about doing it, like they think they’re so good, when the Bible is very clear that nobody is good. A big problem that I see in America is also, very few pastors teach through the Bible as Paul the Apostle made very clear, that we should do. Our country is also very divided when it comes to religion. There is no religious sect of Christianity that will get you to heaven, but yet they all argue about who is right. From what I’ve seen in the denominational church is this; none of them are right, some much worse than others. We are turning America into a battle field in which nobody will win. Remember the phrase, United we Stand, Divided we fall? We are a divided nation on every front. In case you are not aware, Satan is alive and well and he is seating in the alters of most churches and every other entity in America. Satan knows his time is short, that is why we are seeing all the evil that we are witnessing around the world. In case you are not aware and I’m sure that most people are not, every thing that is happening has been prophesied thousands of years ago and its all coming to fruition just as promised. But, once again, here is the problem, religions don’t teach about end times, therefore, they keep their congregations blind to every thing that is happening. It is a sin of omission. 30% of the Bible are words from God warning us about what is going to happen in the end days well in advance of them happening so that we can be prepared for His arrival.

"I have told you now before it happens, so that when it does happen you will believe" is a paraphrase of John 14:29 and John 13:19, where Jesus tells his disciples about future events—specifically his death, resurrection, and the coming of the Holy Spirit—to confirm his identity and solidify their faith.

John 14:29; “I’ve told you this ahead of time, before it happens, so that when it does happen, the confirmation will deepen your belief in me.

John 13:19; “Now I tell you before it comes, that when it does come to pass, you may believe that I am He.

Contextual Themes

Internal Strife: The primary warning is that a nation, city, or house that is "splintered by feuding" will inevitably fall apart.

Divine Judgement: A divided, disobedient nation is often depicted as under divine judgment, leading to "a time of trouble, such as never has been since there was a nation"

Daniel 12:1; “At that time Michael (The Ark Angel) shall stand up, The great prince who stands watch over the sons of your people; And there shall be a time of trouble, (The Seven Year Tribulation) Such as never was since there was a nation, Even to that time. And at that time your people shall be delivered, Everyone who is found written in the book.”

Imagine how horrible world war I, world war II, Vietnam, and the Holocaust were among many others. The time that Jesus is speaking of in the verse above will be worse than all the wars from the time of the beginning until now. Do you want to be here? You do have a choice, and if you don’t believe this is true, it doesn’t matter, what is written will come to fruition weather you believe it or not. Here is a message for those of you that reject truth.

Hosea 4:6; “My people are destroyed for lack of knowledge. Because you have rejected knowledge, I also will reject you from being priest for Me; Because you have forgotten the law of your God, I also will forget your children.”

See, lack of knowledge will not be an excuse when you stand before Jesus at the white throne judgement. God made His word perfectly clear and if you choose to ignore it, you will end up suffering forever in the “Lake of Burning Fire” and you will have no one to blame but yourself.

Call to Unity: The scriptures often follow the theme that unity is required to avoid devastation and to fulfill the will of God, urging against being "lukewarm"

Revelation 3:16; “So then, because you are lukewarm, and neither cold nor hot, I will vomit you out of My mouth.”

If you have never heard this teaching its because nobody cares about you like I do, including your pastor or priest. I will do everything that I can to share the truth because I do not want to be responsible for anybody ending up in Hell!

Something that everybody should be doing is sharing this message. If you are afraid to share this message because you are afraid someone will not like you. Let me ask you this, would you rather not tell them and keep their friendship and have them remain ignorant and spend eternity in hell, or would you rather they might hate you and eventually be saved. Those of us that say we believe have a reasonability to share the truth to all those we love. Do you want to be responsible for someone going to hell, because you did not share the truth of salvation with them. If you can’t share what you know to those that need to know, then I have a very hard time believing you are a Christian. Here is what Jesus said about this.

Mark 16:15-18; “And He (Jesus) said to them, “Go into all the world and preach the gospel to every creature. He who believes and is baptized will be saved; but he who does not believe will be condemned. And these signs will follow those who believe: In My name they will cast out demons; they will speak with new tongues; they will take up serpents; and if they drink anything deadly, it will by no means hurt them; they will lay hands on the sick, and they will recover.”

This doesn’t mean that you have to hop on a plane and share the word with everyone in the world, but you should share what you know when the opportunity arises.

1 Thessalonians 3:12; “And may the Lord make you increase and abound in love to one another and to all, just as we do to you,”

Paul's prayer in this verse expresses his strong desire that the Lord would keep on increasing the Thessalonians' love. He uses a term derived from the Greek root word perisseuo, which implies something that "overflows" or "spills over the top." Paul desires to see their love greatly increase for fellow believers and everyone else. Paul's love for the Thessalonians served as a model for the believers at Thessalonica.

In 1 Corinthians 13:13; “And now abide faith, hope, love, these three; but the greatest of these is love.” Paul named love as the greatest quality of the Christian life,

In 1 John 3:14; “We know that we have passed from death to life, because we love the brethren. He who does not love his brother abides in death.”  the apostle John cites love as a proof of one's salvation, and in 1 John 4:7; “he writes, "Beloved, let us love one another, for love is from God, and whoever loves has been born of God and knows God."

Christians should love one another and also love the lost. Jesus, the Good Shepherd, demonstrated love for the lost. He illustrated this love by telling a story about a shepherd who left his ninety-nine sheep to rescue one lost sheep. When he brought it safely to the fold, he called his neighbors to rejoice with him.

Now may the God of peace who brought again from the dead our Lord Jesus, the great shepherd of the sheep, by the blood of the eternal covenant, equip you with everything good that you may do his will, working in us that which is pleasing in his sight, through Jesus Christ, to whom be glory forever and ever. Amen.
