BIBLE MEDITATION:
“For unto us a Child is born, Unto us a Son is given; And the government will be upon His shoulder. And His name will be called Wonderful, Counselor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace.” Isaiah 9:6
ENCOURAGING WORD:
The first question that I had to ask myself when I dove into this blog was, “Where do I start?” There were 332 prophecies that have been fulfilled to date with many more to come. 109 of them had been fulfilled during the birth of Jesus Christ to 1oo% accuracy. I’m going to share a few so you understand that when God speaks, we can be sure it will come to fruition. Let’s start out with the birth of Jesus Christ.
Isaiah 7:14; “Therefore the Lord himself will give you a sign. Behold, the virgin shall conceive and bear a son, and shall call his name Immanuel.”
One of the most incredible aspects of Jesus’ birth is the fact that he was born to a virgin. In fulfillment of Isaiah’s prophecy, Jesus was conceived by the Holy Spirit and born to the young virgin named Mary. This miraculous event not only emphasized the divine nature of Jesus but also showcased God’s ability to work beyond the natural realm. The virgin birth of Jesus serves as a testament to God’s power and sets him apart as the Savior of the world. Through his birth, Jesus ushered in a new era, offering salvation and reconciliation to all who would believe in him. Jesus, the Son of God, became the Savior of the world, providing a way for humanity to have a restored relationship with God the Father. His birth signified the beginning of God’s redemptive plan and laid the foundation for his life, death, and resurrection.
Micah 5:2; “But you, O Bethlehem Ephrathah, who are too little to be among the clans of Judah, from you shall come forth for me one who is to be ruler in Israel, whose coming forth is from of old, from ancient days.”
Read this verse again and listen to what it is saying. It is speaking of Jesus and letting us know that one day Jesus Christ will rule the world from Jerusalem. This has not been fulfilled yet, but it will when Jesus comes back to earth to set up His one thousand year millennial reign on earth. Very obvious what is being said here; however, most denominational churches teach that Jesus will not reign on earth for one thousand years. They say that He is now reigning from heaven. Listen to this next couple of verses.
Luke 1:32-33; “He will be great, and will be called the Son of the Highest; and the Lord God will give Him the throne of His father David. And He will reign over the house of Jacob forever, and of His kingdom there will be no end.”
What does it say in these two verse? It clearly says that Jesus will rule from the throne of David. Somebody please enlighten me to when this was fulfilled. I’ll make it easy for you…it hasn’t, but it will. Jesus was on earth for only thirty three years. The Bible is very clear that Jesus will rule from Jerusalem for one thousand years. That is coming soon. Two things that have to happen first, which are on the very near horizon, is the rapture of the church and the seven year tribulation that will happen after the rapture of the church.
Read; Revelation 20:4; “And I saw thrones, and they sat on them, and judgment was committed to them. Then I saw the souls of those who had been beheaded for their witness to Jesus and for the Word of God, who had not worshiped the beast or his image, and had not received his mark on their foreheads or on their hands. And they lived and reigned with Christ for a thousand years.”
This has not happened yet, but once again, it will! Those that have been beheaded for their witness are those that will come to Jesus during the seven year tribulation. Those that have been raptured will not suffer the same fate as those that rejected Jesus during the Age of Grace, which I might add, is coming to an end soon.
Here is some logic. Shall we reject the number 1,000 and say that it is symbolic? If it is symbolic, how much of Revelation shall we say is symbolic? If we do that, then the meaning of Revelation is open to anyone’s imagination. Among those who take that position, there are many different meanings, and they significantly disagree with each other. But if we accept all of these numbers literally, which we should, then the book of Revelation is much easier to understand and why would the Holy Spirit use numbers if they were meaningless? The correct answer is that the Millennial Kingdom is real, and it lasts for 1,000 years. Every Christian, those that have died during the church age and those that have been raptured, return to life before the Kingdom starts, and those who are not Christians do not return to life until after the universe is destroyed a thousand years later.
Isaiah 9:6; “For unto us a Child is born, Unto us a Son is given; And the government will be upon His shoulder. And His name will be called Wonderful, Counselor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace.”
Most people will just skim right over this verse without really understanding what it is clearly saying. When it says “A child is born” it is referring to Jesus being born of women. This refers to His humanity. When it says “A Son is given” that is referring to His deity. God the Father has given His Son to the world to bring salvation to those that would believe on Jesus Christ as their Lord and Savior. Jesus was both God and Man while He was here on earth. We have no capacity to truly understand how that can be, and that is why we read in;
Proverbs 3:5-6; “Trust in the Lord with all your heart, And lean not on your own understanding; In all your ways acknowledge Him, And He shall direct your paths.”
If we had to lean on our own understanding, none of us would ever believe. That is why we have to believe by faith. What does the scriptures say, Ephesians 2:8; “For by grace you have been saved through faith, and that not of yourselves; it is the gift of God,”
If you need tangible evidence that God exists, such as touching or seeing, you will never believe. All the evidence that we need is what we see every day through out creation.
Now, let me get into some more prophecies that have already been fulfilled.
The Messiah would be rejected; John 1:11; “He came to His own, and His own did not receive Him.”
This was fulfilled when Jesus was crucified and put to death by His own people.
Prophecy: Isaiah 53:3; “He was despised and rejected by men, a man of sorrows, and familiar with suffering. Like one from whom men hide their faces, He was despised, and we esteemed Him not.”
Isaiah Prophesied this thousands of years before it took place.
Fulfillment: John 1:11 as we just read above. The widespread rejection of Jesus is evident throughout His ministry, particularly by the religious leaders who plotted against Him. Non-biblical sources, such as Flavius Josephus in his Antiquities of the Jews, indirectly reference the political tensions and the influence of Jewish authorities during this time, giving context to why Jesus faced rejection from key figures of His community.
He died for mankind;
Isaiah 53:5; “But he was pierced for our transgressions, he was crushed for our iniquities; the punishment that brought us peace was on him, and by his wounds we are healed.”
Isaiah 53:7; “He was oppressed and afflicted, yet he did not open his mouth; he was led like a lamb to the slaughter, and as a sheep before its shearers is silent, so he did not open his mouth.”
Isaiah 53:9; “He was assigned a grave with the wicked, and with the rich in his death, though he had done no violence, nor was any deceit in his mouth.”
Once again, these were prophecies written by Isaiah thousands of years before they happened. Again, when you read the scriptures, it is amazing how accurate and reliable Bible prophecies are. If you consider the test of the truth of prophecy, mentioned in Deuteronomy, then the Bible passes with flying colors.
Prophecy; “Numbers 9:12; “They shall leave none of it until the morning, nor break any of its bones; according to all the statute for the Passover they shall keep it.
Not a bone broken,
Fulfillment; John 19:31–36; “Since it was the day of Preparation, and so that the bodies would not remain on the cross on the Sabbath (for that Sabbath was a high day), the Jews asked Pilate that their legs might be broken and that they might be taken away. So the soldiers came and broke the legs of the first, and of the other who had been crucified with Him. (Jesus) But when they came to Jesus and saw that he was already dead, they did not break his legs. But one of the soldiers pierced his side with a spear, and at once there came out blood and water. He who saw it has born witness, his testimony is true, and he knows that he is telling the truth, that you also may believe. For these things took place that the Scripture might be fulfilled: “Not one of his bones will be broken.”
Now, I could go on and on about the prophecies that were spoken and then fulfilled, but lets get into the prophecies that are yet future.
Before Jesus can physically return to earth in the second coming, many events have to be fulfilled first, which is evidence of the rapture because nothing has to happen before the rapture can take place. It could happen today. When the rapture takes place Jesus comes as a thief in the night and only those that are saved will see Jesus. Jesus warns about the unpredictability of His return, comparing it to the suddenness of the flood in Noah's time, and emphasizes the need for readiness and vigilance. During the second coming, which happens at the end of the tribulation, all eyes will see Jesus. If you believe that Jesus can come today, then you have to be pre-tribulation. The Bible says that when Jesus comes in the rapture, it is imminent, which means it could happen today. If you believe that Jesus can’t come until the end of the tribulation, then you take away the imminent return, which means He can’t come back today. Common sense plays a big role in what the Bible teaches. All you have to do is read it. There are many contradictions about the rapture and the second coming being the same event. If you study this topic, common sense will reveal the truth.
Where this is dangerous to believe in the post-tri rapture, that means if Jesus can’t come today, then you can live the way you would like and then get your life right with Jesus just before He returns at the end of the tribulation. Very dangerous doctrine to believe in the post trib rapture. Jesus can come today! If you don't get ready for Him today and you decide to wait for the end of the tribulation it will be to late. you will be sentenced to hades until the "white throne judgdment" that will come at the end of the one thousand year Millenium.
With this being said, obviously the rapture has to happen before the second coming of Christ and before the tribulation.
Shortly before His crucifixion and resurrection, Jesus Christ delivered a major prophecy of end-time events, recorded in Matthew 24, Mark 13 and Luke 21. He was asked by His disciples: "When will these things be? And what will be the sign of your coming, and of the end of the age?"
This is a two part question, “Tell us, when will these things be? This part of the question is in reference to when would “not one stone shall be left here upon another, that shall not be thrown down.” A.D. 70 witnessed the catastrophic destruction of Jerusalem and the Jewish temple by the Romans. This is a historical fact and one that the Bible predicted.
The second part to this question is in reference to the “what will be the sign of Your coming, and of the end of the age?” Here is Jesus’s response to the end times. “Take heed that no one deceives you. For many will come in My name, saying, ‘I am the Christ,’ and will deceive many. And you will hear of wars and rumors of wars. See that you are not troubled; for all these things must come to pass, but the end is not yet. For nation will rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom. And there will be famines, pestilences, and earthquakes in various places. All these are the beginning of sorrows. “Then they will deliver you up to tribulation and kill you, and you will be hated by all nations for My name’s sake. And then many will be offended, will betray one another, and will hate one another.
Two different questions in one verse. If you don’t understand who is doing the talking and what it is reference to, you will never understand scripture.
Matthew 24:1-10; “Then Jesus went out and departed from the temple, and His disciples came up to show Him the buildings of the temple. And Jesus said to them, “Do you not see all these things? Assuredly, I say to you, not one stone shall be left here upon another, that shall not be thrown down.”
The Signs of the Times and the End of the Age
Now as He sat on the Mount of Olives, the disciples came to Him privately, saying, “Tell us, when will these things be? And what will be the sign of Your coming, and of the end of the age?” And Jesus answered and said to them: “Take heed that no one deceives you.
Jesus responded with a description of conditions and events that would lead up to His second coming as we read above. Moreover, He said that when these signs became evident, His return would occur within one generation.
Matthew 24:32-34 “Now learn this parable from the fig tree: When its branch has already become tender and puts forth leaves, you know that summer is near. So you also, when you see all these things, know that it is near—at the doors! Assuredly, I say to you, this generation will by no means pass away till all these things take place.
What things you might ask, the things that Jesus mentioned in Matthew 24: 4-10.
If we take the Word of God at face value, then these three verses in Matthew 24:32-34 are clearly saying that the generation that sees the regathering of Israel will see all things fulfilled. We are that generation. Israel became a nation again after two thousand years of disbursement into the world. A miracle in and of itself. The regathering of Israel started Gods prophetic clock running again. And we are clearly at the end of days as we know them.
A couple more things that I believe have to happen before Jesus will return physically to earth. I believe the Gog and Magog war that was prophesied in the book of Ezekiel, chapter 38-39. If you are watching as we are commanded to do, you can see that there is an alliance of Muslim nations along with Russia that are in line to bring that prophecy to fulfillment. I believe that once the rapture happens, then this war will come to fruition.
The Bible, in the book of Ezekiel (specifically chapters 38 and 39), mentions a coalition of nations that will attack Israel in the "latter days". While interpreting these ancient names into modern nations can be debated, biblical scholars and commentators often identify the following nations as involved:
Magog (often identified with Russia and surrounding areas): Ezekiel refers to "Gog of the land of Magog, the chief prince of Meshech and Tubal". Some interpret "Rosh" (a Hebrew word meaning "chief" or "head") as a reference to Russia,
Persia (modern Iran): Persia is mentioned as a participant in the invasion.
Cush (identified as modern-day Sudan): As stated by Living Waters Cush (often translated as Ethiopia) is considered the nation south of Egypt, currently known as Sudan.
Put (identified as modern-day Libya): Put is also listed among the nations attacking Israel.
Gomer (often associated with parts of modern-day Turkey and surrounding regions): Gomer is named as one of the nation’s participating in the attack.
Beth Togarmah (located in the far north, possibly part of modern-day Turkey): Beth Togarmah is described as coming from the "far north" with its troops.
Some interpretations also suggest that Syria and Lebanon, acting as proxies for Iran, may also be involved in the coalition.
Every one of these nations are lined up as we speak to fulfill this prophecy.
Zechariah 12:3; “And it shall happen in that day (the day the Islamic nations along with Russia will attack Israel) that I (God) will make Jerusalem a very heavy stone for all peoples; all who would heave it away will surely be cut in pieces, though all nations of the earth are gathered against it.”
It clearly states that all nations of the world which would include America, will come up against Israel. That is why I believe this can’t happen until after the rapture. As long as the born again believers are still on earth, Israel will be safe. The Bible talks about a restraining force that is keeping all hell from breaking loose of earth. That restraining force is the Holy Spirit that indwells all born again believers.
2 Thessalonians 2:7; “For the mystery of lawlessness is already at work; only He who now restrains will do so until He is taken out of the way.” (The restrainer…The born again believers will be taken out before the Antichrist can be revealed)
This is saying that lawlessness is already in the world, but it can’t take over completely until the restrainer (The Church) is out of the way. You can clearly see that lawlessness is already at work in our world. But you haven’t seen anything yet. For those of you that want to hold to the false teaching that rebukes this truth, you will be a part of what is coming and listen to what Jesus said about the time that is coming.
Matthew 24:21; “For then there will be great tribulation, such as has not been since the beginning of the world until this time, no, nor ever shall be.”
Just think about it. Take all the world wars, the holocaust, and all the other evil that has destroyed our world and multiply it over and over. That is what is coming. And it will be in our life time. Do you want to be a part of that. It is your choice. Oh, and by the way, God will personally intervene on Israels behalf and Israel will this war.
Now, here is what will follow. With the born again believers gone and the Jews feeling pretty good about their victory, they will turn once again to God, but not Jesus yet. Sometime right after the Magog war is over, that is when a world leader will come on the scene and have all the answers to what has happened and what is coming. We know this man as the Antichrist. The Jews will accept this man as their Messiah. This is when the Antichrist will sign a seven year peace treaty that will last for 3-1/2 years.
Daniel prophesied thousands of years ago what will happen at the beginning of this peace treaty.
Daniel 9:27; “This king (The Antichrist) will make a seven-year treaty with the people, but after half that time, he will break his pledge and stop the Jews from all their sacrifices and their offerings; then, as a climax to all his terrible deeds, the Enemy shall utterly defile the sanctuary of God. But in God’s time and plan, his judgment will be poured out upon this Evil One.”
If you read Daniel 9:24-27, it is the most incredible prophecy ever given in the Bible. It gives the whole scope of Israels existence from the time the command was given to rebuild Jerusalem until the Anointed One comes! The anointed one is Jesus for those of you that don’t know. That prophecy happen to be 490 years. 483 of those years were already fulfilled. When Jesus came to earth the first time, the clock stopped on Israel and then the church age started. You will notice, that only 483 years were fulfilled, which means God owes Israel one more seven year period. Any guesses as to when that will be fulfilled. After the rapture occurs, the church age will be over, and the last seven year period of life as we know it will come to an end. After the tribulation period, Jesus will return to earth where all eyes will see Him and Jesus will fulfill the sheep and goat judgement just before they enter the Millenial Kingdom.
Matthew 25:31-46; “When the Son of Man comes in his glory, and all the angels with him, he will sit on his glorious throne. (This is at the end of the tribulation) All the nations will be gathered before him, and he will separate the people one from another as a shepherd separates the sheep from the goats. He will put the sheep on his right and the goats on his left.
“Then the King (Jesus) will say to those on his right, ‘Come, you who are blessed by my Father; take your inheritance, the kingdom prepared for you since the creation of the world. (This is speaking of the Millennial Kingdom) For I was hungry, and you gave me something to eat, I was thirsty, and you gave me something to drink, I was a stranger, and you invited me in, I needed clothes, and you clothed me, I was sick, and you looked after me, I was in prison, and you came to visit me.’ “Then the righteous will answer him, ‘Lord, when did we see you hungry and feed you, or thirsty and give you something to drink? When did we see you a stranger and invite you in, or needing clothes and clothe you? When did we see you sick or in prison and go to visit you?’ “The King will reply, ‘Truly I tell you, whatever you did for one of the least of these brothers and sisters of mine, you did for me.’
“Then he will say to those on his left, ‘Depart from me, you who are cursed, into the eternal fire prepared for the devil and his angels. For I was hungry, and you gave me nothing to eat, I was thirsty, and you gave me nothing to drink, I was a stranger, and you did not invite me in, I needed clothes, and you did not clothe me, I was sick and in prison and you did not look after me.’ “They also will answer, ‘Lord, when did we see you hungry or thirsty or a stranger or needing clothes or sick or in prison, and did not help you?’ “He will reply, ‘Truly I tell you, whatever you did not do for one of the least of these, you did not do for me.’ “Then they will go away to eternal punishment, but the righteous to eternal life.”
This judgment will be based on how you treated the Jews. If you took the mark of the beast, your eternal fate will have been determined. If you made it through the tribulation without taking the mark of the beast, you will enter the one thousand year millennial kingdom along with all the believers that have been resurrected from the dead or raptured. This might be a good time to re-evaluate your opinion and support of Israel. You don’t mess with God chosen people. If you do, you will pay!
These prophecies that I mentioned throughout this blog will come to fruition, the timing is not certain, but it is close base on everything that we are seeing taking place in Israel. Don’t watch the social media, they are full of deceptions and lies. Want a more reliable source. If you want to know a more reliable source, send me a message on messenger. If you really don’t care, then prepare to suffer the consequences.
Only you can decide what you believe and where you want to spend eternity. If you trust anybody for your salvation, (and that includes me) you are a fool. I am called to prepare those that will listen for what is coming, but it is up to you to read the scriptures and let the Holy Spirit guide you in truth. I am not responsible for your salvation…you are! I am just trying to arouse your curiosity so you do your own study. I am happy to guide you through Gods Word, but it is up to the Holy Spirit to save you.
So, give your life to Jesus today and let the Holy Spirit indwell your heart, and if you do that, then all the things that I mentioned above will not apply to you. It’s a gift from God called (Grace)
May the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace in believing, so that by the power of the Holy Spirit you may abound in hope.
The grass withers, the flower fades, but the word of our God will stand forever. Amen!
