BIBLE MEDITATION: Romans 13:11; “And do this, understanding the present time: The hour has already come for you to wake up from your slumber, because our salvation is nearer now than when we first believed." ENCOURAGING WORD: Do you know what Napoleon said about China? "There lies a sleeping giant, and let him sleep, because if he awakens, he will shake the world." I believe that the devil is saying that about todays believers in Lord Jesus Christ. And I believe the church is just that, a sleeping giant, and Satan wants us to stray that way. We're asleep because we have been poisoned by the spirit of this age. We're bombarded on every side by all kinds of evil distractions.
We are a generation that is entertaining ourselves into oblivion. And it's time to wake up! I hear so many people say to me: "I don't believe that Jesus is coming back soon, therefore, I want to have as much fun as I can before I commit my life to Him. That, my friends is the worst way of thinking that one can do, especially in these days in which we live. First of all, giving your life to Jesus Christ does not mean you have to stop enjoying life. In all reality, you will enjoy life more. You have a choice, do you want to live the life that Jesus prepared for you, or do you want to live the life that you chose for yourself? Life is a vapor my friends, and you won't be here forever, if fact, you don't have any idea what tomorrow may bring.
James 4: 14; tells us; “whereas you do not know what will happen tomorrow. For what is your life? It is even a vapor that appears for a little time and then vanishes away.”
God spoke to the prophets of old about everything that was going to take place before it happened. Most of the prophets of the Old Testament where rejected or hated and even put to death by the religious leaders because of the messages that God gave them to share. Every message that God sent that was scoffed at or mocked at had horrible consequences, because nobody believed what they were being told. The perfect example is the prophet Jeremiah. The prophet Jeremiah continued to prophesy about an unpopular message of sin and the downfall of his nation. His message was this, if they didn’t repent, a Babylonian invasion was inevitable, yet they didn’t take his message seriously and sure enough, Babylon conquered Israel and they went into captivity for seventy years. This is just one of many examples of ignoring Gods Word that He sent to the world through His prophets.
Amos 3:7 tells us, “Surely the Sovereign LORD does nothing without revealing his plan to his servants the prophets.”
Today, in America, we are getting the same warnings from God’s modern-day servants, and people are ignoring them and mocking them just as they did in the past.
We read in 1 Peter 2:9;“But you are a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, His own special people, that you may proclaim the praises of Him who called you out of darkness into His marvelous light;”
Peter is referring to the generation of believers today that are watching the signs of the times and are very aware of the days in which we live. But once again, just as in the days of old, todays servants of God are being laughed at and mocked. The problem is, the warnings that God is sending us now will have catastrophic consequences in the very near future, because America is asleep.
I’ve heard a very good Bible scholar put it this way and I agree, "What gives American the audacity to think we will escape the persecution that the rest of the Christian world has had to endure for the last two thousand years? We are the modern-day Sodom and Gomorrah, and if you are familiar with why and how judgement came upon them, then you will understand why God has to judge America. There are thousands of Born-Again Christians trying to warn our country of the inevitable judgement that is coming, but very few people are listening.
We read in 2 Peter 3:4 where it tells us this, “Where is the promise of His coming? For since the fathers fell asleep, all things continue as they were from the beginning of creation.”
Peter prophesied that this would take place in the end days. And this is exactly what is being said today by many Christians and unbelievers alike. They have lost their focus on the soon return of Jesus Christ because they have been sold a bill of lies from the modern-day pulpits of today that Jesus is not coming back to set up His earthly kingdom. I can promise you this! Jesus is coming back, and He is coming back soon, so don’t let anybody tell you anything different.
2 John 1: 10; tells us, “If anyone comes to you and does not bring this doctrine, do not receive him into your house nor greet him; for he who greets him shares in his evil deeds.” Verse 7 tells us what to look for, “For many deceivers have gone out into the world who do not confess Jesus Christ as coming in the flesh. This is a deceiver and an antichrist.”
Do you believe that the Word of God is inherent and 100% truth. If you do, then why would you not believe Gods Word that is so clearly stated above? It says what it means, and it means what it says, Jesus is coming back…….!
You have a choice to make, do you want to live the rest of your life enjoying the pleasures of sin for a season, which could end very soon, or do you want to prepare yourself for the kingdom that God has prepared for those that have received Jesus Christ as their Lord and Savior. The next step of your existence is eternity. There are only two options, eternity with Jesus in a perfect environment, or eternity separated from Jesus forever in what the Bible refers to as "The Lake of Burning Fire". The Bible has a many names for this eternal dwelling outside of God's existence, such as outer darkness, the lake of burning fire as I just mentioned, and quite frankly, none of them sound like a place that I want to be. You need to make that choice now, tomorrow might be too late. Eternity with Jesus Christ or eternity without Jesus!
Are you taking the Christian life seriously? If this were your last day on earth, how would you spend it? Being entertained by the distractions of the world? Or would you spend it serving Jesus? Stop believing all the lies that are permeating throughout our country today, get into the Bible where the Holy Spirit will guide you through all truth with wisdom and knowledge.
John 16:13; “However, when He, the Spirit of truth, has come, He will guide you into all truth; for He will not speak on His own authority, but whatever He hears He will speak; and He will tell you things to come.”
The Holy Spirit is guiding many Born-Again believers and telling them things that are coming, and coming soon! Are you listening, or are you mocking? It’s up to you what you decide! Nobody can make that decision for you!
Most people that attend a denominational church will not understand Bible verses that apply to end times because they have been taught religious doctrine and not the true gospel of Jesus Christ. It is because people have not been indoctrinated into the truth of what the Bible teaches in regards to the end times. Let me remind you, Christianity is not a religion, it is a relationship with Jesus Christ! American is being deceived on every side related to what is happening in these days in which we live. Our nation is also being divided, and what have we learned over the last two to three hundred years, “United we stand, divided we fall” My friends, we are divided and we are falling!
The Bible is about thirty percent prophecy and God put it there for a reason, but most of the mainline denominational churches of today refuse to teach Gods Word when it relates to Bible Prophecy. They skip over the prophetic pages because they don’t understand them, so they just skip them, or they explain them away as if they have no bearing on what we can expect and what we should be looking for in regards to the end of days. There is, however, a small handful of people that God has called to witness to the world about what is about to happen, and like all the prophets of old and all those that brought messages to people warning them about upcoming events, they are being mocked at and laughed at. We just do not learn from the past, as the old saying goes, The German philosopher George Hegel famously said, “The only thing that we learn from history is that we learn nothing from history.” This is a troublesome thought because there is so much that we did wrong when we look at world history that we could improve on today if we knew our countries history.
What is happening to America and throughout the rest of the world has all been prophesied by prophets of old and everything that was foretold, we are seeing unfold right before our eyes. There are a lot of Bible verses that we should know and understand, but once again, they are not being taught in the mainline denominations of today. One in particular that I would like to point out is the following verse,
Luke 21:36; “Watch you therefore, and pray always, that ye may be accounted worthy to escape all these things that shall come to pass, and to stand before the Son of man.”
You will not be taught this verse in today’s churches because they do not believe what is about to come to pass, so they have no idea what to warn you about. I believe that skipping over 30% of the Bible is a sin of omission.
We read in Galatians 6:7-9; “Do not be deceived: God cannot be mocked. A man reaps what he sows. Whoever sows to please their flesh, from the flesh will reap destruction; whoever sows to please the Spirit, from the Spirit will reap eternal life. Let us not become weary in doing good, for at the proper time we will reap a harvest if we do not give up.”
If you are not being taught Bible prophecy in your denomination, then you are being deceived. Your Pastors and Priests are omitting the 30% of God’s Word that He went out of His way to warn us about, and they are mocking the Word of God and telling Him it is not worth teaching. They will be held accountable just as I will be held accountable for what I teach.
The Bible warns us about perilous times in 2 Timothy 3: 1-4; “This know also, that in the last days perilous times shall come. For men shall be lovers of their own selves, covetous, boasters, proud, blasphemers, disobedient to parents, unthankful, unholy, Without natural affection, trucebreakers, false accusers, incontinent,( lacking self-restraint) fierce, despisers of those that are good, Traitors, heady, high-minded, lovers of pleasures more than lovers of God;”
When was the last time that you heard a sermon on this teaching? A note of interest; all Bible prophecy scholars agree on the fact that America is not mentioned at all in the Bible in reference to the end of times. This should wake us up. They all agree that some cataclysmic event of some kind will take place that will remove America as a super power in the end time scenario. All that is happening in our world today, especially in America, is solid evidence that’s something is about to break. There are many thoughts on the topic, but because the Bible does not speak of America as an existing super power in the end days concerning Bible prophecy, there is no concrete certainty of what will happen. There are, however, many suggestions as to what will take place. They all make sense to a certain degree, but the truth of the matter is, only God knows for sure. So that brings me to the main topic of this post.
I believe that God is speaking very loudly these days to America and once again as it has been in the past, very few people are listening. I don’t know how God could make it any clearer that He has in the last couple years or so. Corruption at the highest levels of government beyond belief, lawlessness like we have never seen before along with famines and pestilences on a worldwide level. One sure sign that we are seeing on an unprecedented scale is found in;
Matthew 24:12-14; “And because lawlessness will abound, the love of many will grow cold. But he who endures to the end shall be saved. And this gospel of the kingdom will be preached in all the world as a witness to all the nations, and then the end will come.”
We are seeing lawlessness abound like never before without any arrests or effort to stop them for the most part! It is out of control. At this rate, America will implode from the inside out. Nations are watching and cheering when they see the massive scale of violence that is taking place in America. Do you know why? Of course you don’t, because you have never been taught about what will take place in the end times. It is because America is the only nation that is standing in the way of the one world order that will soon be put into place. We are standing in the way and the whole world is watching as we die a slow death from within. We are the last of a dying breed, democracy will be a thing of the past. When the final certain will come down of America, only God knows, but know this, everything that is happening is happening exactly the way the Bible describes.
As scary as this may seem, it doesn’t have to be. God has made a way for us to escape all that is coming.
We read once again, Luke 21:36; “Watch you therefore, and pray always, that ye may be accounted worthy to escape all these things that shall come to pass, and to stand before the Son of man.”
What is about to come to pass does not need to include you. God came to the earth in the personage of Jesus Christ for one sole purpose, which was to reconcile man back to Himself by paying for the sins of the world. When Jesus hung on the cross, He took upon Himself all the sins of the world, nailed them to the cross so that those that would believe on Him would inherit His righteousness and be forgiven of all their sins. This is the only way to escape all that is coming. Give your life over to Jesus Christ today and become Born-Again into the Holy Spirit.
Just say this prayer in the privacy of your own home,
“Dear Lord Jesus, I know that I am a sinner, and I ask for your forgiveness. I believe you died for my sins and rose from the dead. I turn from my sins and invite you to come into my heart and life. I want to trust and follow you as my Lord and Savior.” Amen!
