“Do you serve the Lord?”
BIBLE MEDITATION;
“If anyone serves me, let him follow me; and where I am, there my servant will be also. If anyone serves me, him My Father will honor.” John 12; 26.
ENCOURAGING WORD;
I heard a pastor once tell a story about a family that had two young girls. One of the girls had polio at a very young age. A few years later the other daughter came down with the same terrible disease. The pastor new about this situation and thought he would pay this family a visit. When the pastor introduced himself as a pastor, the father of the house starting ripping into him about God and saying all kinds of evil accusations against him. He was extremely angry with God and blamed God for everything bad in his life. After the father of the house was done blaspheming the God of heaven, the pastor said, well, are you serving God? After a few more choice words that man of the house said, no! Then the pastor had this to say, “If you are not serving God, then what obligation does God have to watch over you?” We read in Psalm 33:18; “Behold, the eye of the LORD is on those who fear Him, on those who hope for His lovingkindness,”. God watches over His children. If you have rejected God as your heavenly Father and rejected His Son, Jesus Christ as your Lord and Savior, then you are under the care of whatever god you chose to serve. We also read in Psalm 121:5–8; “The Lord watches over you—the Lord is your shade at your right hand; the sun will not harm you by day, nor the moon by night. The Lord will keep you from all harm—he will watch over your life; the Lord will watch over your coming and going both now and forevermore.”
ACTION POINT;
You have only two choices, serve God or serve Satan. If you reject God as your heavenly Father, then don’t blame Him for all the evil in your life. If you choose God, then know that everything that happens in your life is Father filtered, which means He is working it all out for your good! You will reap what you sow.
