“You’re Mine Twice”
BIBLE MEDITATION:
“...Ye are not your own? For ye are bought with a price: therefore glorify God in your body, and in your spirit, which are God’s.” 1 Corinthians 6:19–20;
ENCOURAGING WORD:
There’s a familiar story about a little fellow who lost a little red sailboat that he had made. As he was sailing it, it got away from him and ended up on the other side of the pond. Later, as he was hanging around the second– hand store, he saw the sail boat that he had made. The owner of the store made him buy it back. The little boy bought it back, and as he carried the little sailboat out of that second–hand store, he hugged it to his chest and said, “Little sailboat, you’re mine. You’re twice mine. You’re mine because I made you, and you’re mine because I bought you back.” This is exactly what God did for us. From the beginning of time before Satan deceived Eve into eating the forbidden fruit, we were all God’s children, pure and without sin. God created us in His image. After the fall of mankind, we all fell out of Grace with God because of our sinful nature. After that, we were not children of God, we were slaves to sin under the control of Satan. Here is what God said to Adam after he had eaten of the forbidden fruit, Genesis 3: 17–19; “Then to Adam He said, “Because you have heeded the voice of your wife, and have eaten from the tree of which I commanded you, saying, ‘You shall not eat of it’: “Cursed is the ground for your sake; In toil you shall eat of it All the days of your life. Both thorns and thistles it shall bring forth for you, and you shall eat the herb of the field. In the sweat of your face you shall eat bread till you return to the ground, for out of it you were taken; for dust you are, and to dust you shall return.”
After this well known event of history, we all became destined for the “Lake of Burning Fire", because man chose sin over righteousness. So God found himself in predicament. He loved His creation, but could not accept sinful man into His kingdom, so what could He do. There was only one choice, one way…sin had to be dealt with. Since we cannot pay for our own sins, “which many mainline denominations teach”, because we, ourselves are sinful, God had to enter His own creation and did so in the personage of Jesus Christ. Throughout His thirty three years of life on earth, Jesus never sinned once, which gave Him authority and the right to pay for our sins. So, Jesus Christ willfully took on the sins of the world, willfully went to the cross and suffered the punishment that we were all destined for. He died on the cross and on the third day, He rose again, and is now sitting at the right hand of the Father making intersession for us, (His True Believers). Now, here is the simplicity of becoming born-again into the Holy Spirit and becoming a child of God once again. You accept Jesus Christ and what He did for you on the cross, or you continue being in bondage to sin under Satan’s control. Your eternal fait hangs in the balance.
So, too explain the meaning of this message, God created us, lost us to sin and then repurchased us back with His own blood. The question that you have to ask yourself is this, “Are you going to accept the price that Jesus Christ paid for your sins or are you going to remain in the state of slavery to Satan which will end up in the “Lake of Burning Fire”. It is your choice, you have no right to blame anyone but yourself if you end up separated from Jesus Christ for all eternity.
ACTION POINT:
My friends, “You are not your own. You are bought with a price. Therefore, glorify God in your body and in your spirit, which are God’s.” 1 Corinthians 6:19–20. There are people that show up in church twice a year. I call them C.E.O.s–Christmas and Easter Only. Showing up for church twice a year does not give you access into heaven. For that matter, neither does going to church every Sunday. Your personal relationship with Jesus is the only thing that will bring you into the kingdom of God. Keep this in mind and live by it “Christianity is not a religion, Christianity is a relationship with the creator of the Universe.” No religion can save you nor give you access into heaven. “Written for the Glory of God, Inspired by the Holy Spirit.”
