BIBLE MEDITATION:
“For the time will come when they will not endure sound doctrine, but according to their own desires, because they have itching ears, they will gather up for themselves teachers; and they will turn their ears away from the truth, and be turned aside to fables.” 2 Timothy 4:3-4
ENCOURAGING WORD:
For about the last thirty years I have been trying to warn people of what is coming and what to watch for. The words that I share from the scripture have fallen mostly on deaf ears. People would rather stay ignorant of God’s word, than to take heed of what God is warning us aboutin these final days. The question that I have to ask is this, why do most people want to remain ignorant of God’s word and His warnings of what is in the near future, and yes, I said, the near future. According to what I see, there is a very small hand full of people that take the word of God serious.
Just this week, I encountered a conversation with a person that had no idea of what is going on in our world, but yet, he rebuked everything I told Him. I’m not sure if he attends any church or if he has ever read the bible. In my opinion, based on his ignorance of scripture, I would have to say he is either part of a denominational church that doesn’t teach 30% of the Bible that tells us what is coming, or he doesn’t go to any church at all. It always blows my mind when someone seems to think he knows more than I do about the word of God, when he has never even read the Bible.
I researched the scriptures of the Bible, and I found at least 35 verses in the Bible that reference end times to a certain degree. I’ll share a few of these with you. First of all, Bible prophecy is not to scare people, but it is to prepare people. All through the scriptures, God has always warned His people of things to come so they would be prepared. If prophecy scares you, then you have a reason to be scared. Bible prophecy is written to those that have received Jesus Christ as their Lord and Savior. The Holy Spirit speaks to those that have ears to hear and minds to understand. Let me put it in a way that should make you think. I someone told you that a catagory five tornado was going to hit yortu home, what would you do, would you ignor it and hope they are wrong, or would you prepare for it in case they were right. I think everybody in their right mind would do everything that they could to prepare for it and stay out of harms way. Then my question is this, their is an event that we are being warned about that is going to happen sooner or later. I believe it will be sooner than we think, but only God knows for sure. If you don't believe the events that God is warning us about, then don't say that you believe in God. Because if you deny what 30% of the Bible shares with us, then you can't truly believe in the God who inspired the whole Bible.
I once had a coversation with a friend of mine who said only 80% of the Bible was true. My responce to him was this; If he could show me one place in the Bible that wasn't true, I would burn every Bible that I owned. You know what, I never heard from him again. Since then, I have heard that he has passed away and the sad thing is this; Now he knows that everything in the Bible was the true and inherent Word of God. To bad he had to find out when it was too late. Keep that in mind.
The first verse that I want to expand on is the verse in today’s Bible meditation. Ther Holy Spirit has revealed what we can expect the end days to be like.
2 Timothy 4:3-4; “For the time will come when they will not endure sound doctrine, but according to their own desires, because they have itching ears, they will gather up for themselves teachers; and they will turn their ears away from the truth, and be turned aside to fables.”
My friends, we have to be blind not to see that this warning from God is taking place at an unprecedented level. The main reason that people are blind to the reality of what is taking place is because they listen to and believe the evil social media that is lying to us constantly to keep us in the dark just as the Bible says in the next verse.
2 Corinthians 4:3-4; “But even if our gospel is veiled, (A concealed Cover) it is veiled (Covered) to those who are perishing, Whose minds the god of this age (Satan) has blinded, who do not believe, lest the light of the gospel of the glory of Christ, who is the image of God, should shine on them.”
This verse is saying that those that have rejected Jesus Christ as their Lord and Savior and have not been born again, have no capacity to understand the hidden messages of the Bible. For those that do not know, Satan is the god of this world, and he has the power to blind you from all truth. The simplest truths of the scriptures are not visible to those that choose to go their own way through life. The only truth that you will hear comes from those that have given thier lives totally over to Jesus Christ. If you have given your life to Jesus Christ and have become born-again, you are a child of God, and all truth will be revealed to you. Satan has no power over you what-so-ever. If not, then Satan owns you and he will deceive you into believing all the lies that he is behind. With this being said, there are millions of false prophets in our world sharing lies of deception that originate from Satan himself. The only way for you to know for sure is to study the Bible. Not just read it, but study it. For those of you that went to college, a time came when you had to cram for a final exam. I’ll bet you studied the whole night before to make sure that you would get a passing grade. This is the way we should all study the Bible, as if we were preparing for our final exam here on this earth. A word of wisdom; If you would have failed your final exam in college, you would eventually get another chance if you chose to pursue it. If you fail the final exam of salvation, it is for all eternity that you will suffer the fait of not preparing for your final destination. This is what the Holy Spirit is doing, He is preparing us for that final exam. Those that take it seriously, will spend eternity with Jesus Christ forever. (Let me clarify something very important…Knowing Bible prophecy will not save us by any means. It will alert us as to the urgency of His coming so that we can let people know the truth, so they might take an interest in the word of God.) See, a lot of people will say the same thing. “I’ll repent on my death bed and therefore be saved. Although that is somewhat true, what if you don’t die on your death bed, what if you die instantly from some other catastrophe. If you die, before you can repent of your sins, you will enter the Lake of Burning Fire which will take place at the “White Throne Judgment.” Are you willing to take that chance? If you are, you are the most ignorant species on earth.
Now, let me share some bible verses that teach what things will be like just before the return of Jesus Christ.
2 Thessalonians 2:10-12; “And with all wicked deception for those who are perishing, because they refused to love the truth and so be saved. Therefore God sends them a strong delusion, so that they may believe what is false, in order that all may be condemned who did not believe the truth but had pleasure in unrighteousness.”
Like I mentioned above, Those that have chosen to live a sinful lifestyle and those that downright rejected Gods plan of salvation will be under a strong delusion from God, so that they will not even know that they are sinning. God has given you over to the God that you serve which is (Satan) So, those of you that are living a sinful life style, you will not understand the scriptures of the Bible. When you come to the realization that you are a sinner living a sinful life style, and finally repent of your sins, it is then that the Bible will come alive and you will wonder how you ever missed the meaning of the truth of scriptures. If you never reach that point, you will be held accountable for every sin that you ever committed, and you will be judged accordingly. In other words; you will be forever in the environment that God created for Satan and his fallen angels.
One verse that I will share with you that is totally ignored or soemhow taken out of context. Leviticus 20:13 "If a man practices homosexuality, having sex with another man as with a woman, both men have committed a detestable act. They must both be put to death, for they are guilty of a capital offense." I don't see how anybody, blind or not can take this verse to mean anything other than what it says. End of discussion.
Women, thsi goes for you as well. Romans 1:26-27; "For this reason God gave them up to dishonorable passions. For their women exchanged natural relations for those that are contrary to nature; and the men likewise gave up natural relations with women and were consumed with passion for one another, men committing shameless acts with men and receiving in themselves the due penalty for their error." Read the whole chapter of Romans 1. If you come away with any other notion other than what is plainly written, you are lost and in the hands of Satan.
At this point, I want to share something with you. I’ve been reading and studying the word of God for about thirty years. I have repented and turned from all my sins, and for those of you that know me, you should understand that, that was a miracle in and of itself. But as the days have been going by, I’ve been getting pretty discouraged because I feel that very few if any have been reading or learning from what the Holy Spirit has been sharing with me. It is then that I talk to God and tell Him, I feel that I have disappointed Him. I feel like I am reaching nobody, and it is all a waste of time. Just when I’m ready to say, enough is enough, The Holy Spirit speaks to me again. He reminds me of the following Bible verses.
Matthew 7:13-14; “Enter by the narrow gate; for wide is the gate and broad is the way that leads to destruction, and there are many who go in by it. Because narrow is the gate and difficult is the way which leads to life, and there are few who find it.”
The Holy Spirit reminds me that few will be that find the way and He is using me to reach that few. He is using those of us who share His word, to bring those few to repentance. Once the last person comes to repentance, that will bring the age of grace to an end which means you will no longer be able to be saved by grace. The Holy Spirit also reminds me of the following Bible verse.
John 15:18-21; “If the world hates you, you know that it hated Me before it hated you. If you were of the world, the world would love its own. Yet because you are not of the world, but I chose you out of the world, therefore the world hates you. Remember the word that I said to you, ‘A servant is not greater than his master.’ If they persecuted Me, (Jesus) they will also persecute you (Those of us that share the Gospel). If they kept My word, they will keep yours also. But all these things they will do to you for My name’s sake, because they do not know Him who sent Me.”
So, the last few verses that I have read, keep me going. People may despise me, which they do, and very few will listen to what the Bible teaches. So, I will keep doing what I am doing and if I reach one person out of millions, it is worth it. I would love it if I could reach more, but God is in charge of saving those that have come to Him, I am just planting seeds. If you receive these messages and repent and turn from your sins, He will save you from the eternity that most people have chosen for their final destination. That’s right, we choose our own destination, God will not send someone to hell, we choose that destination for ourselves. Nobody can make that choice for you, not even God.
Here is another verse that will describe the days in which we live.
1 Timothy 4:1; “Now the Spirit expressly says that in later times some will depart from the faith by devoting themselves to deceitful spirits and teachings of demons,”
As I have attended various churches and denominations over the years, I have noticed the following. No church other than one that I have recently attended never even taught from the Bible, it’s always topical studies where they use scriptures of the Bible and take them out of context to teach on. Church is supposed to be a Bible study, but very few if any carry a Bible with them. If you don’t have a Bible to validate what is being taught, how can you know if what you are hearing is the truth. You can’t, your trusting your salvation to a man or religious sect that doesn’t share the Bible, they share tradition.
Ephesians 5:15-16; “See then that you walk circumspectly, not as fools but as wise, redeeming the time, because the days are evil.”
Here is a Bible verse where John warns us about believing everything that you hear:
1 John 4:1; “Beloved, do not believe every spirit, but test the spirits to see whether they are from God, for many false prophets have gone out into the world.”
The only way to know the absolute truth is by testing the Spirit to see whether or not they are from God. If you are holding onto your trust in the religious sect that you are a part of, you will perish into everlasting darkness for all eternity. In other words, if you think that your religious doctrine will get you into heaven, you are badly mistaken and you a will be deceived in the days to come, if you haven’t been already.
Jesus was never a part of a religion, and if he would have been, it would have been Judaism. He never taught religion; His teaching revolved around repentance and salvation. He never taught religious doctrine, as a matter of fact, Jesus rebuked the religious leaders of His day for teaching their religious doctrine. He told the religious leaders of His day the following.
John 8:44;’You are of your father the devil, and the desires of your father you want to do. He was a murderer from the beginning, and does not stand in the truth, because there is no truth in him. When he speaks a lie, he speaks from his own resources, for he is a liar and the father of it.”
In this last verse Jesus is rebuking the religious hierarchy of His day, which is equivalent to today’s church leaders, and yes, that includes priests and pastors. Jesus rebukes religion, because it is full of mans trust in their own understanding of what the scriptures teach. I could point out at least 25-50 false teachings in today’s denominational churches. Let me share the main one that should jump out at you.
Revelation 22: 18-19; “For I testify to everyone who hears the words of the prophecy of this book: If anyone adds to these things, God will add to him the plagues that are written in this book; and if anyone takes away from the words of the book of this prophecy, God shall take away his part from the Book of Life, from the holy city, and from the things which are written in this book.”
If you are a follower of any religious sect of Christianity, you fall into this category. What does Jesus say, If you take part in the false teaching of the church that you attend, according to these couple verses, you will not enter heaven. Very clear if you ask me. actually, its very clear even if you don’t ask me.
Now, I could go on and on, but I’m sure that I already lost most of the readers of this blog by now, but know this, if you despise this teaching, your not offending me, your offending God. If you hate me for sharing this truth then you also hate God. In the same way, if you reject Jesus Christ and what He did for us, our heavenly Father will not receive you into His kingdom. The Bible is very easy to understand, if you let the Holy Spirit do the teachings. You need to break away from the false teaching that you are a part of, repent, turn from your sins and give your life to Jesus Christ. There is no other way to heaven, but through the shed blood of Jesus Christ.
Let me end with this:
What was the debt that needed to be paid?
The sin debt. Man was created sinless and in perfect union with his Creator. But since Adam’s sin, man is no longer in that perfect union. God gave the Ten Commandments, which encompass all of God’s ordinances for holy living. And when keeping the commandments, man enters into closer communion with God. However, as we all know, man fails terribly at keeping the Ten Commandments, and, therefore, is incapable of paying their own debt. Good works cannot pay your debt.
Jesus, however, kept the Law perfectly. Thereby, He fulfilled the Law Matthew 5:17, “Do not think that I came to destroy the Law or the Prophets. I did not come to destroy but to fulfill. For assuredly, I say to you, till heaven and earth pass away, one jot or one tittle will by no means pass from the law till all is fulfilled. Whoever therefore breaks one of the least of these commandments, and teaches men so, shall be called least in the kingdom of heaven; but whoever does and teaches them, he shall be called great in the kingdom of heaven. For I say to you, that unless your righteousness exceeds the righteousness of the scribes and Pharisees, you will by no means enter the kingdom of heaven.”
Hebrews 8:13; “In that He says, “A new covenant,” He has made the first obsolete. Now what is becoming obsolete and growing old is ready to vanish away.” and was proven by the Law to be the pure Lamb of God, able to pay the sin debt of mankind. When Jesus died in our place, He canceled the certificate of our debt (“nailing it to His cross”). It was by His death that our penalty for sins was paid, and our debt canceled.
Canceled Debt
Before Jesus breathed His last breath, He cried out “tetelostai.” This Greek word is translated, “it is finished.” Ancient tax receipts have been found with “tetelostai” written across them, indicating payment was made in full and the debtor was released from the debt.
Knowing that all of our sins — past, present, and future — are fully paid for, and those who have repented and trusted in Christ have received forgiveness and had their personal debt canceled. Believing in Jesus Christ and what He did for you on the cross, paid for your sins in full. Nothing else can be done on our part…”It is Finished” When you work on something, and you get done, and you say, “It is Finished”, what does that mean to you? Nothing more to do. Then when Jesus says it is finished, that’s exactly what it means. So, when you go to a certain sect of Christianity and you are told to follow all their rules and traditions, it is then that you are trying to add to what Jesus already did for you. I have been trying to stress this point for a long time now and once again, it just keeps falling on deaf ears.
The Christian Bar of Soap
1 John 1:9 “ If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.”
This verse is sometimes referred to as “the Christian bar of soap“—and rightfully so. But, what does that mean?
The only “soap” that washes us clean in our justification is the blood of Jesus Revelation 1:5; “and from Jesus Christ, the faithful witness, the firstborn from the dead, and the ruler over the kings of the earth.”
To Him who loved us and washed us from our sins in His own blood,
There is no other “stain-cleansing agent” for sin’s penalty. John made reference to this in verse 7, …the blood of Jesus Christ His Son cleanses us from all sin.
Again, verse 9 is not about our salvation. It is about our sanctification. We are truly, fully forgiven already of all sins. But our confession of ongoing sins will bring a cleansing that strengthens us to live in and for Christ.
Ephesians 5:6; “Let no one deceive you with empty words, for because of such things God’s wrath comes on those who are disobedient.’ If you are listening to the social media and the false teachers behind the pulpits of today, you are hearing empty words and promises. You are responsible for what you believe and who you choose to follow, so don’t you think you should be wise and follow those that teach from the Bible and not those that teach from tradition. What you choose to believe will be followed up by the way you live your life. Read the following Bible verse and if you live one of these lifestyles, then that is what you chose to believe.
1 Corinthians 6:9-11; “Do you not know that the unrighteous will not inherit the kingdom of God? Do not be deceived. Neither fornicators, nor idolaters, nor adulterers, nor homosexuals, nor sodomites, nor thieves, nor covetous, nor drunkards, nor revilers, nor extortioners will inherit the kingdom of God. And such were some of you. But you were washed, but you were sanctified, but you were justified in the name of the Lord Jesus and by the Spirit of our God.”
All of these sinful life styles speak for themselves. If you are enjoying the pleasure of sin for a while, know this, If you do not repent and turn from these wicked ways, you will perish in the Lake of Burning Fire for all eternity. If you are under the delusion that any one of these sins is okay with God, then you are already under the power of the evil one and you are being deceived. This is only the beginning, there is much more in the line of deception coming to the world. You better figure it out and get right with God while there is still time. The opportunity to be saved could end any day now, don’t be under the delusion that you have lots of time…you don’t!
He who testifies to these things says, “Surely I am coming soon.” Amen. Come, Lord Jesus! The grace of the Lord Jesus be with all. Amen.
The grass withers, the flower fades, but the word of our God will stand forever.
For those of you that believe we can change the word of God, read again that last verse that I just wrote. Gods word is Gods word!
