Today’s Bible Verse:
Luke 19:43-44; “For days will come upon you when your enemies will build an embankment around you, surround you and close you in on every side, “and level you, and your children within you, to the ground; and they will not leave in you one stone upon another, because you did not know the time of your visitation.”
Encouraging Word:
First of all, let me say right up front, knowing and understanding Bible prophecy does not save you. God gave us Bible prophecy to prepare us for what is ahead. It is not to scare us. All the way through history, those that understood Bible prophecy and prepared for what was coming, avoided the trauma that they were warned about. As a result of them not knowing Bible Prophecy, many of them perished because they were not prepared for the inevitable. God always warns His believers of events that are going to take place before they happen, as we read in the following Bible verse.
Amos 3:7; “For the Lord God does nothing without revealing his secret to his servants the prophets.” This includes all who will share the Word of God. That includes all latter day prophets and modern day servants."
What does it say, “For the Lord God does nothing without revealing his secret to his servants the prophets.” Its crystal clear that God always warns us of what is in the near future. He does this so that no one will be left behind to face the worst time in human history.
Also, we read in the following Bible verse. Ezekiel 3:17-19; “Son of man, I have made you a watchman for the house of Israel. Whenever you hear a word from my mouth, you shall give them warning from me. If I say to the wicked, ‘You shall surely die,’ and you give him no warning, nor speak to warn the wicked from his wicked way, in order to save his life, that wicked person shall die for his iniquity, but his blood I will require at your hand. But if you warn the wicked, and he does not turn from his wickedness, or from his wicked way, he shall die for his iniquity, but you will have delivered your soul."
This is saying that those of us that are warning the world of what is coming will not have the blood of the wicked on my hands. I will continue to warn as many people as I can of what is in the very near future, because God is also saying, if we stay silent about what we know, then the blood of the wicked will be on our hands. It is your choice to believe or reject the truth of the scriptures and if you question what I share from the Bible, please search the scriptures for yourself to see if what I share is indeed the truth or not.
Now, I am going to share the most incredible prophecy, that I believe, is in the Bible. The reason I am going to share this is so everybody will know how important it is to know and understand Bible prophecy. I have been told by so many people that I shouldn’t waste my time on Bible prophecy. Well, after I explain the prophecy written in Daniel 9:24-27, you will understand why we should all be paying attention to the end time prophecies and how they are unfolding right before our eyes.
When people read “Todays Bible Verse” most people really have no idea why Jesus said what He did. The reason that they did not know the time of their visitation, was because they did not study the prophecies in the book of Daniel. The Angel Gabriel, gave Daniel a four verse prophecy that would prophecy a four hundred and ninety year time period in which Israel would seal up vision and prophecy and to Anoint the Most Holy. I am going to share this with you to the best of my ability, Daniel 9:24-27. When Jesus said, “because you did not know the time of your visitation” He was referring to the prophecy that was in the book of Daniel. The book of Daniel prophesied the exact day that Jesus Christ would proclaim Himself to be their Messiah.
We start out this prophecy in Daniel 9:24; “Seventy weeks are determined For your people (Israel) and for your holy city, To finish the transgression, To make an end of sins, To make reconciliation for iniquity, To bring in everlasting righteousness, To seal up vision and prophecy, And to anoint the Most Holy.”
When it says “Seventy weeks” it is referring to a seventy seven year period of time. Seven times Seventy equals Four Hundred Ninety years. Notice, this is written to the Jews, nobody else. This prophecy has not yet been completely fulfilled, but that time is coming soon for all thingds to be fulfilled. One could make an argument for “making reconciliation for iniquity.” has been taken care of. This was completed at the cross. Finishing the transgression, making an end of sins, bringing in everlasting righteousness, sealing up the vision and prophecy, and anointing the Host high have obviously not taken place yet. The last part of this prophecy will not be complete until the end of the “Seven Year Tribulation” which again, is in the very near future. That is when Jesus Christ will return to set up His One Thousand year Millennial Kingdom where He will Rule and Reign with a rod of iron from Davids throne in Jerusalem. It has been two thousand years since this prophecy was given, and we are seeing all the prophecies taking place that the Bible warned us about that would take place just before the second coming of Jesus Christ. But know this, as close as we are to the return of Jesus Christ, the seven years of tribulation have to take place first. If you are paying attention to what is going on in our world and you are aware of what was prophesied to take place in the end days, you would see that these final prophecies are in the very near future. The stage is being set for the final seven years of time as we know it today.
Let’s move on to Daniel 9:25; “Know therefore and understand, That from the going forth of the command To restore and build Jerusalem Until Messiah the Prince, There shall be seven weeks and sixty-two weeks; The street shall be built again, and the wall, Even in troublesome times.”
Seven weeks and sixty two weeks happens to be sixty nine weeks or four hundred eighty three years. That leaves one more seven year period for God to deal with the Jews. We know this last seven year period as "The Great Tribulation." The year that Jesus was crucified was the sixty nineth year of “the command To restore and build Jerusalem Until Messiah the Prince.”
We read in the book of Ezra where the decree was given “To restore and build Jerusalem.” Ezra,7:11-13; “Now this is the copy of the letter that the king Artaxerxes gave unto Ezra the priest, the scribe, even a scribe of the words of the commandments of the Lord, and of his statutes to Israel. Artaxerxes, king of kings, unto Ezra the priest, a scribe of the law of the God of heaven, perfect peace, and at such a time. I make a decree, that all they of the people of Israel, and of his priests and Levites, in my realm, which are minded of their own freewill to go up to Jerusalem, go with thee.”
This event started the four hundred ninety year prophecy. “The command To restore and build Jerusalem.”
Daniel 9:25 includes a mathematical prophecy. The Jewish (and Babylonian) calendars used a 360-day year. Sixty nine weeks of 360-day years totals 173,880 days. In effect, Gabriel told Daniel that the interval between the commandment to rebuild Jerusalem until the presentation of the Messiah as King would be 173,880 days.
The commandment to restore and build Jerusalem in this prophecy is found in Ezra 7, by King Artaxerxes as we read above. This decree was issued in 458 B.C. If this is the decree to which Gabriel refers, then 483 years later lands at 25-26 A.D., right around when Jesus began his ministry. So at the end of the 69 weeks (7 weeks + 62 weeks), the Messiah arrives in Israel and is anointed.
It was exactly to the day when Jesus meticulously arranged it. On this particular day He rode into the city of Jerusalem riding on a donkey, deliberately fulfilling a prophecy by Zechariah that the Messiah would present Himself as king in just that way: During the ministry of Jesus Christ there were several occasions in which the people attempted to promote Him as king, but He carefully avoided it until the day that it was prophesied. “Mine hour is not yet come”.
Zechariah 9:9; Rejoice greatly, O daughter of Zion; shout, O daughter of Jerusalem: behold, thy King cometh unto thee: he is just, and having salvation; lowly, and riding upon a donkey, and upon a colt the foal of a Donkey."
Whenever we might easily miss the significance of what was going on, the Pharisees come to our rescue. They felt that the overzealous crowd was blaspheming, proclaiming Jesus as the Messiah the King. However, Jesus endorsed it! We read this truth in the following verse.
Luke 19:40; “I tell you that, if these should hold their peace, the stones would immediately cry out.”
Jesus is saying, that if the crowds were to remain silent and not proclaim Jesus as their Messiah, then the rocks on the ground would cry out. This prophecy was going to be fulfilled regardless of who did the shouting. This is the only occasion that Jesus presented Himself as King. It occurred on April 6, 32 A.D.
When we examine the period between March 14, 445 B.C. and April 6, 32 A.D., and correct for leap years, we discover that it is 173,880 days was exactly day that Jesus proclaimed Himself to be the Messiah.
How could Daniel have known this in advance? How could anyone have contrived to have this detailed prediction documented over three centuries in advance? There is, however, a remaining seven-year period yet to be fulfilled. This period is the most documented period in the entire Bible. The Book of Revelation, Chapters 6 through 19, is essentially a detailing of that climactic period. The interval between the 69th and 70th week, which has lasted about two thousand years continues, but it is increasingly apparent that it may soon be over.
Now, let us go onto Daniel 9:26;“And after threescore and two weeks shall Messiah be cut off, but not for himself: and the people of the prince that shall come (The Romans) shall destroy the city and the sanctuary; and the end thereof shall be with a flood, and unto the end of the war desolations are determined.”
When it says ”Messiah shall be cut off,” that was prophesying to the day that Jesus would be crucified. The Messiah was, of course, executed at the Crucifixion…”but not for Himself.” He allowed Himself to be crucified on the cross to pay for our sins, He had no sins of His own to pay for.
Just so you do not misunderstand what it means when it says that the end days will be therefore with a flood, it is not speaking of the same flood that fell during Noah’s days. The flood that is being spoken of here, is a flood of violence and evil that will be taking over the world at that time.
The sixty-two “weeks” follow the initial seven, so verse twenty-six deals with events after 69th week, when Jesus was crucified, but before the 70th, which happens to be at least two thousand years. These events include the Messiah being killed and the city and sanctuary being destroyed.
As Jesus approached the city on the donkey, at that time He predicted the destruction of Jerusalem: The following verse that I going to read is Jesus speaking.
We read again in Luke 19:43–44; “For the days shall come upon thee, that thine enemies shall cast a trench about thee, and compass thee round, and keep thee in on every side, And shall lay thee even with the ground, and thy children within thee; and they shall not leave in thee one stone upon another; because thou knewest not the time of thy visitation."
The city and the sanctuary were destroyed 38 years later when the Roman legions under Titus Vespasian leveled the city of Jerusalem in A.D. 70, precisely as Daniel and Jesus had predicted. In fact, as one carefully examines Jesus’ specific words, it appears that He held them accountable to know this astonishing prophecy in Daniel 9! “Because thou knewest not the time of thy visitation.”
Side note: Those that are not watching for all the signs that God is giving us will we held accountable for not knowing what is in the near future. You will have no excuse!
Now, let me ask you a question, do you think prophecy should have been taken more seriously back in those days? I would say so. When Jesus said, “Because thou knewest not the time of thy visitation.” He was holding them accountable to know the prophecies of Daniel. They should have known the exact day that Jesus Christ would proclaim Himself as their Messiah. But because they rejected God’s warning about this future event, they were dispersed into the World for the next two thousand years. And in most cases, they were persecuted for much of that time. We should all be familiar with “The Holocaust” The Jews went through Hell on earth because they did not know Bible prophecy. God did reject them for the last two thousand years, but God has brought them into their own homeland to fulfill the last seven year period of the Daniel 9 prophecy just as prophesied. This happens to be the Great Tribulation that so many churches are not warning their congregations about. Are you staring to understand why Bible prophecy should be important.
Now, let us get into the last seven year period of this prophecy which is on the near horizon. We read the last verse in this incredible prophecy in;
Daniel, 9:27; “Then he (The Antichrist) shall confirm a covenant with many (Israel) for one week; (or Seven Years) But in the middle of the week (Three and a half years) He shall bring an end to sacrifice and offering. And on the wing of abominations shall be one (Satan) who makes desolate, ( devoid of inhabitants and visitors ) Even until the consummation, which is determined, Is poured out on the desolate.”
This last verse is in reference to the “The Great Tribulation.” The Antichrist will come on the scene sometime right after the rapture of the church. (Which is a prophecy that is totally ignored by the churches of today) I believe this one world leader will start out His reign of terror with a false peace treaty that he will make with Israel. Supposedly, this peace treaty will last for three and a half years even though it is set up to last seven years. Then, as we read in the last verse of this prophecy, Satan will sit in the Holy of Holies (which is the holiest place on the temple mount) and proclaim himself to be God. That is when Satan will break the peace treaty with Israel and go on a killing spree of all the Jews in hopes of finally annihilating all the Jews once and for all. That is what the verse means when it says, “He shall bring an end to sacrifice and offering.”
While Satan is on a rampage to destroy all the Jews, God will supernaturally protect one third of the Jews as we read in the following Bible verse.
Matthew 24:16-20; “Then let those who are in Judea flee to the mountains; let him who is on the housetop not go down to get the things out that are in his house; and let him who is in the field not turn back to get his cloak. But woe to those who are with child and to those who nurse babes in those days! But pray that your flight may not be in the winter, or on a Sabbath;"
We read in Matthew 24:15 where it says, “Therefore when you see the ‘abomination of desolation,’ spoken of by Daniel the prophet, standing in the holy place” (whoever reads, let him understand),
This verse describes an event that fixes the chronological midpoint of the seven-year tribulation. Verses 16-20 describe the recommended response of the faithful who see the abomination of desolation in Jerusalem. They are to get out of Dodge as fast as they can. Why? It is because the second half of the tribulation will be a time of persecution and great tribulation for the Jewish remnant. Unfortunately, two thirds of the Jewish people will be put to death.
Here is where Zechariah 13:6; tells us, “And it shall come to pass in all the land,” Says the Lord, “That two-thirds in it (Israel) shall be cut off and die, But one-third shall be left in it:” Once again, those who understand prophecy will be spared."
This passage is saying that the moment the Jewish Remnant sees the watershed event of the abomination of desolation, then they are to flee to the Judean hills. Why are they to flee instantly? It is because with the instantaneous event of the Beast (antichrist) setting up the abomination of desolation in the rebuilt Jewish Temple, he goes from protecting Israel to persecuting her. Therefore, the sooner that the Remnant can get out of town, then the less likely it will be that antichrist will be able to persecute the Jews. Another reason they will be able to flee instantly is because God will miraculously provide for and protect Israel as they make their way to Petra for three and a half years of safekeeping.
Now, there is so much more to this prophecy, but without getting into it any deeper, Know this, God has forewarned us about events that are going to happen just before the seven year tribulation can start. Being a student of Bible Prophecy for about thirty years, I can tell you that all the prophecies that were spoken of back in the days of the prophets, are all converging at once and we are close to the second coming of Christ. The number one prophecy that is being totally ignored today is the rapture of the church, which most Bible scholars believe will be the next prophetic event on Gods calendar. I am not saying it will be next week or even next year, all though it could be. But, just like the Jews that were not ready to receive their Messiah at the first coming, the world is not ready to receive Jesus at His second coming.
Now, I am going to share with you what will happen to the gentiles that miss the rapture of the church and are cast into the great tribulation. This one world leader that is known to us as (The Antichrist) will come on the scene as a man of peace and will deceive many with all power, signs, and lying wonders. The world will gravitate to this man and accept him as the Messiah. During this time, many people will come to the true Lord (Jesus Christ) and accept Jesus Christ as their Lord and Savior. At this point it is not very clear what the chronologic order will be, but here is what will take place, sometime during the first three and a half years into the tribulation. At that point, whenever that may be, He (The Antichrist) will institute the “Mark of the Beast.” Those that take the mark will be spared at that time, and those that have turned to Jesus and refuse the mark will be put to death. While God is watching over the one third of the Jews that will be saved, He will bring his wrath down on all those that took the “Mark of the Beast.”
Those that converted to Jesus and made it through the tribulation, God put a seal on their foreheads. Then we read this next verse describing how awful this time will be for those that took the mark of the beast.
Revelation 9:1-6; “Then the fifth angel sounded: And I saw a star fallen from heaven to the earth. To him (Satan) was given the key to the bottomless pit. And he opened the bottomless pit, and smoke arose out of the pit like the smoke of a great furnace. So the sun and the air were darkened because of the smoke of the pit. Then out of the smoke locusts came upon the earth. And to them was given power, as the scorpions of the earth have power. They were commanded not to harm the grass of the earth, or any green thing, or any tree, but only those men who do not have the seal of God on their foreheads. And they were not given authority to kill them, (Those that took the mark) but to torment them for five months. Their torment was like the torment of a scorpion when it strikes a man. In those days men will seek death and will not find it; they will desire to die, and death will flee from them.”
Can you imagine being in so much pain, and then not even being able to take your own life? This is what will come upon all those that took the “Mark of the Beast” and chose to serve the Antichrist during his seven year reign on earth. Quick question, does this sound like something that you want to be a part of? I would hope not. It is actually much worse than it sounds.
Well, there is good news, you do not have to be a part of this horror! You can choose to serve Jesus Christ before all this takes place. Now, know and understand this, Because the Jews ignored Bible prophecy, they were scattered throughout the world to be persecuted for two thousand years. Do you know what is going to happen to those that ignore the signs of the second coming of Jesus Christ. They will be cast into the great tribulation and if they take the “Mark of the Beast" during this time, they will be tormented in The Lake of Burning fire for all eternity. It cost the Jews two thousand years, it will cost all those that reject Jesus, all eternity. That is the price that you will pay because you did not accept what Jesus did for you on the cross.
Let me finish with this. When God created man, our bloodline was perfect and without sin at that time. When Adam and Eve ate from the tree of good and evil after being deceived by the serpent, (Satan) sin entered in and infected our blood line. From that point on, all descendants of Adam and Eve, which is everybody, were infected with the same decease, (SIN) positive. Now, God had a predicament. He had to come up with a way to reconcile man back to Himself. He could not receive sinful man into His kingdom, so sin had to be dealt with. Since we cannot pay for our own sins, God Himself had to enter His creation, live a perfect sinless life, and then willfully went to the cross to pay for the sins of the world. The reason that Jesus could pay for our sins is because He was sinless all through His life on earth. When He took all the sins of the world and shed His blood, it was then that sin was paid for by those that would accept His wonderful gift of grace. A free gift I might add. See, when we accept His gift of grace, and receive the Holy Spirit into our lives, it is then that our blood is once again pure and we are no longer infected with sin, which will enable us to join Jesus Christ in heaven for all eternity. This is your choice; nobody can make it for you.
So, you have a choice to make. Do you want to trust in the Word of God and get prepared for what is coming, or do you want to conform to the world and suffer the fate that awaits all those that rejected Jesus Christ as their Lord and Savior. Keep this in mind, only Jesus was able to pay for your sins, no good works of the flesh, or any other source can save you. Only through the shed blood of Jesus Christ can you be saved. Good works does not pay for sins, only Jesus was able to take your sins and wash them away. I know that many people shun Bible Prophecy, but based on the teaching that I just gave, how can you deny that Bible Prophecy is important to the believer in Christ. Ask the Jews how important it was, they suffered for two thousand years because they rejected Prophecy. We will suffer for all eternity if we are not ready to meet the Lord.
You may be upset that I taught on this prophecy, because you may feel that if you do not know this truth, you will not be held accountable. Wrong way of thinking. Whether you choose to hear Gods warnings or not, you will still be held accountable just as much as those that rejected the truth. Ignorance of the scriptures will not be an excuse. I would rather see all those that believed this message in heaven, than to all those in hell that I did not get a chance to reach. If I do not reach you, someone will!
Read this last verse before I close. Matthew 24:14; “And this gospel of the kingdom will be preached in all the world as a witness to all the nations, and then the end will come.”
You may have one chance to receive Jesus Christ as your Lord and Savior. Know this, there will be a time in your life when you have to make that choice to receive the Gospel, or reject it. This might be that time!
One question that I will end with. When did Jesus rule from David's throne? Jesus is now sitting on His Fathers Throne, which is in reference to God the Father, not David. So, if you are being taught that the Millennial Kingdom is not to be taken literally, you are being lied to and deceived. Read what it says. It doesn’t get any clearer. Jesus never ruled from David's throne, But He will!
We read this fact in Luke 1:32; “He will be great, and will be called the Son of the Highest; and the Lord God will give Him the throne of His father David.”
Now let me end with this, “Now to him who is able to keep you from stumbling and to present you blameless before the presence of his glory with great joy, to the only God, our Savior, through Jesus Christ our Lord, be glory, majesty, dominion, and authority, before all time and now and forever. Amen.”
I pray that God reaches your heart and continues to bless you in all that you do, God bless you and take care!
