“The Disease of Discontentment” BIBLE REFERENCE: "But godliness with contentment is great gain." 1 Timothy 6:6 ENCOURAGING WORD: Many times we think we need something when in reality is just something we want. Sometimes we want things that we just do not need. We get our luxuries and our necessities confused. Discontentment (lack of satisfaction with one's possessions, status, or situation: lack of contentment:” is a disease that takes away our joy and peace. Then what is contentment? It is being satisfied with what you already have. You see, contentment will make a poor man rich. And discontentment makes a rich man poor. No matter how much you have, if you' are discontented, you will never be rich. Everything that we have is a gift from God and should be cherished as so. We, here in America have so many blessings, but because we take them for granted, we fail to really appreciate what we have. If you have a roof over your head, clothes on your back, and food on the table, you are at the top of the world’s wealth. I’ve heard someone say, Ask a rich man how much he needs and his answer will most like be, “just a little bit more,” they are never happy. God has blessed America with great abundance, but what most of the American population does not understand is why we have been so blessed. I can tell you with absolute certainty why we have been blessed all these years. We read in Genesis 12:3-5; "I will bless those who bless you, And I will curse him who curses you; and in you all the families of the earth shall be blessed." We have been a very strong defender of Israel since they came back to existence on May 14, 1948. It is because of our defense of Israel that we are such a blessed country, but the day we pull back our defense of Israel, the hedge of protection by God, that we have enjoyed for all these years will be gone. I shudder to think what is going to happen when America ignorantly stops supporting Israel. If you are watching the signs of the times, then I'm sure you are also aware of what is coming! Bottom line, as long as we support Israel, we will have God's hedge of protection over us, but the day we lose that hedge of protection, we will be vulnerable to all the evil that the rest of this world has had to endure for over the last 2000 years. Unfortunately, I believe that day is coming soon. We can see how the rest of the world is already plotting an attack on Israel. We are the only one preventing that from happening. We need to support the leaders in America that understand why it is so crucial that we continue to defend Israel. Keep this thought in your mind, if you hate Israel, how can you say that you love their King…Jesus Christ)
With all that America has been blessed with, there are still those that think America needs change. They seem to think that total government control will take care of all the issues of everyday leaving, when in reality, the problems will increase with such intensity, they will not know what hit them until it is too late. The bothersome part of all this is most people do not even know what they are supporting because all the lies that they are being told by the social media which is deceiving people into thinking that things will be better. There are just a handful of evil people that are stationed in Americana and around the rest of the world that are bent on destroying America. Did you hear what I just said, “a small handful.” An evil strong minority can do a lot of damage if left alone and for the better part on the last few decades that is exactly what has taken place. But as of recently people are waking up and understanding the evil that lurks behind everything that is taking place in the world. Let me give you a New Testament story that we have all been taught that is playing out in our time which will have devastating consequences. I’m going start with this verse, John 12:12-15; “The next day a great multitude that had come to the feast, when they heard that Jesus was coming to Jerusalem, took branches of palm trees and went out to meet Him, and cried out: “Hosanna! ‘Blessed is He who comes in the name of the Lord!’ The King of Israel!” Then Jesus, when He had found a young donkey, sat on it; as it is written: “Fear not, daughter of Zion; Behold, your King is coming, sitting on a donkey’s colt.” This happened on Palm Sunday, but less than a week later, these same people were chanting, John 19:6; “Therefore, when the chief priests and officers saw Him, they cried out, saying, “Crucify Him, crucify Him!” Pilate said to them, “You take Him and crucify Him, for I find no fault in Him.” Why? Because a hand full of Pharisees changed the minds of all Israel. Some say it could have been as few fifteen to twenty religious leaders that turned the hearts of these people against Jesus Christ. The consequences of their decision is the reason that the Jews have been persecuted and have been dispersed around the world in disbelief for the last two thousand years. They have however, been regathered just as Jesus said they would which is the number one prophecy that leads us to believe that we are close to the soon return of Jesus Christ.
Now, let’s take a good hard look at what is happening to our country. For the most part, people are not as evil as it may appear, but there is the presence of a small group that are bent on the destruction of America. People that have been celebrating the likes of the 4th of July, Memorial Day and any other days that celebrate what our country was founded on have stepped away to follow the small destructive minority. The consequences of their actions will be devastating in the same way that the Jews were treated, only lot worse. The consequences of where America is heading will be total destruction of the greatest country ever. And all who live to witness this will be under the dictatorship of a one world government headed up by the one world ruler known as the Antichrist! Revelation 13:8 tells us, “And all that dwell upon the earth shall worship him, (The Antichrist) whose names are not written in the book of life of the Lamb slain from the foundation of the world.” If you are watching all that is taking place in our world, you can clearly see how quickly this can come upon the about.
ACTION POINT: America better get back to being content with how God has blessed us, because He is a gentlemen and He will step aside if that is what we choose. We are still a rich country today but I fear that will change soon, how soon, I do not know, but with all that is taking place, it cannot be far off. Paul says in 1 Timothy 6: 7-10; “for we brought nothing into this world, and it is certain we can carry nothing out. And having food and raiment let us be therewith content. But they that will be rich fall into temptation and a snare, and into many foolish and hurtful lusts, which drown men in destruction and perdition. For the love of money is the root of all evil: which while some coveted after, they have erred from the faith, and pierced themselves through with many sorrows.” Everything that we have is a gift from God, but nothing that we have been given will be taken with us in the afterlife, accept for one thing, “that is the Gift of Grace that you will have with you throughout eternity.” All the world will embrace earthy treasures but they will refuse the greatest gift ever given that will last forever…Grace! Are you one of the fools that the Bible mentions or will you stand strong as a warrior for God through these rough and trying times. Psalm 14:1 tells us, “The fool has said in his heart, there is no God. They are corrupt, they have done abominable works, there is none that does good.” You either believe in God or you do not, there is no sitting on the fence. Matthew 12:30; “He who is not with Me is against Me, and he who does not gather with Me scatters abroad.” If you claim to be with Him, then serve Him, if you will not serve Him, then you are against Him. Where are you in regards to your personal relationship with Jesus? Remember these concerning words that we find in Matthew 7:14; “Because narrow is the gate and difficult is the way which leads to life, and there are few who find it.” Will you be one of the few? Only you can make that decision for yourself! “Written To the glory of God, Inspired by the Holy Spirit!”
