BIBLE MEDITATION:
Joshua 7:8; “Now Joshua sent men from Jericho to Ai, which is beside Beth Aven, on the east side of Bethel, and spoke to them, saying, “Go up and spy out the country.” So the men went up and spied out Ai.
ENCOURAGING WORD:
I was talking to a very good Christian brother w hile back, and we were discussing world events and how they will play out. AI was one of the topics that we discussed. As we were talking he told be the meaning of the AI. ( The name, AI, means "heap of ruins," which also appears in Genesis 12:8 and 13:3.)
In the Bible, AI (pronounced "eye") is an ancient Canaanite city located east of Bethel, primarily known as the site of a humiliating initial defeat for the Israelites under Joshua due to Achan's sin, before its eventual destruction (Joshua 7-8). The name (AI) means "heap of ruins" and it symbolizes a lesson in obedience, the consequences of overconfidence, and the need for repentance. I found this to be very interesting because nothing is in the Bible by coincidence. In the Bible AI is a city, in our time it’s called artificial intelligence. I truly believe that Artificial Intelligence is going to be the ruin of our world, especially here in America. In fact, I know it is. This little city mentioned in the Bible has a hidden message of chaos that is going to happen in the near future.
The Bible tells us that in the last days, there’s going to be a one world figure that will emerge, the Antichrist, also called the Beast and the Wicked One.
I don’t personally believe AI is the Antichrist for onvious reasons. When the Bible speaks of the Antichrist, I believe it is referring to a real, literal person. AI is the system that the Antichrist will use to rule the world. Its already heading in that direction.
A man, the Antichrist, will be a world figure who comes on the scene and inaugurates what we often call the seven year great tribulation period. The great tribulation period will begin with the emergence of Antichrist, and it will end with the return of Jesus Christ and in-between will be the most horrific time in history on earth.
AI will definately play a huge roll in the end times scenario?
The Bible tells us the Antichrist will erect an image of himself and demand worship, and that the image will somehow appear animated or alive, just as AI is today.
And he deceives those who dwell on the earth by those signs which he was granted to do in the sight of the beast, telling those who dwell on the earth to make an image to the beast who was wounded by the sword and lived. Revelation 13:14–15; “He was granted power to give breath to the image of the beast, that the image of the beast should both speak and cause as many as would not worship the image of the beast to be killed”
Not too long ago, this was hard to imagine. It all sounded so futuristic. But now with the advances in robot technology, AI technology, and more, what we read in Revelation doesn’t seem so far-fetched anymore.
AI and Christianity: The Real Spiritual Danger
AI’s become a part of our lives. In fact, Mark Zuckerberg said that artificial intelligence might be better than actually having real friends!
The word antichrist doesn’t only mean “against Christ.” It also means “instead of Christ.” And when we start looking to AI for wisdom, guidance, and even companionship, that is antichrist behavior, or “instead of Christ” behavior; you’re substituting God in your life with AI. Rather than looking to God’s Word, you’re looking to artificial intelligence.
While AI can be a great tool, don’t let it take the place of God. If we start looking to machines for what is right and wrong, good and evil, we’ve already stepped into deception. That’s the danger of the spirit of Antichrist or “instead of Christ” behavior.
God says to have no other gods before Him (see Exodus 20:3). ““You shall have no other gods before Me.” Everything you need is found in a relationship with Jesus Christ. Everything you need to know about God is found in the pages of the Bible. The Bible is the user’s manual of life. I urge you to open it.
While the Bible does not explicitly mention Artificial Intelligence, but biblical principles and prophecy suggest future dangers regarding the idolization of technology, the devaluing of human life, and the potential to aid end-times deception. Key concerns include the loss of human agency, creation of false realities, and the promotion of a "transhumanist" worldview that undermines human creation in God's image.
Key potential future dangers of AI according to biblical interpretations:
Idolatry and Deception; Revelation 21:8; “But the cowardly, the unbelieving, the vile, the murderers, the sexually immoral, those who practice magic arts, the idolaters and all liars—they will be consigned to the fiery lake of burning sulfur. This is the second death.” AI may become a modern idol—something humanity worships or trusts more than God. Deceptive technology like deepfakes can manipulate public opinion, spread falsehoods, and create simulated realities that detach people from divine truth. Revelation 21:8 outlines the exclusion of specific sinners from the New Jerusalem, stating that the "cowardly, the faithless, the detestable, as for murderers, the sexually immoral, sorcerers, idolaters, and all liars" will have their portion in the "Lake of Burning Fire” that burns with fire and sulfur forever, which is the "second death"
The List of Sinners: Revelation 21:8 highlights sins related to lack of faith (cowardly, faithless/unbelieving) and immoral actions (detestable, murderers, immoral, sorcerers, idolaters, liars).
The Penalty: Their punishment is described as the "Lake that Burns with Fire and Sulfur"
The Second Death: This phrase defines the final, eternal separation from God.
Context: Revelation 21:8 follows the description of the New Heaven and New Earth, highlighting that while the victorious inherit all things, those described face judgment.
This verse highlights the consequences for those who do not overcome, contrasting directly with the reward of the faithful mentioned in the previous verse.
Devaluation of Human Image-Bearers; Genesis 1:27; “So God created man in His own image; in the image of God He created him; male and female He created them. AI can be used to treat people as tools rather than divine creations, reducing human dignity and devaluing human life. Genesis 1:27; establishes that human beings are created with inherent dignity, worth, and a direct, unique reflection of God's likeness, encompassing both male and female.
Image of God: Humanity is set apart from other creations by being designed to reflect God's nature, which includes relational, rational, and creative capacities.
Male and Female: The text explicitly highlights the creation of both genders, stating that both are equally made in the divine image
Significance: Being made in God's image means human life is sacred and holds special purpose, bearing a divine imprint rather than being purely evolutionary or random.
Genesis 1:27; sets the stage for the biblical narrative of humanity's relationship with the Creator.
Loss of Human Agency and Purpose: Genesis 11: 5; “But the Lord came down to see the city and the tower which the sons of men had built.” Similar to the Tower of Babel, unchecked AI advancement stems from human pride, aiming to make a name for humanity rather than honoring God. It may rob humans of their God-given agency, reducing our capacity to make independent, moral decisions. states, "But the LORD came down to see the city and the tower that the people were building" Genesis 11:5 marks God’s observation of the Tower of Babel, highlighting human pride and defiance, which led to the confusion of languages and the scattering of people across the earth.
Key details regarding Genesis 11:5:
Action: The LORD descends to observe the construction of the city and tower.
Context: Humans were trying to build a city with a tower reaching to heaven to make a name for themselves, directly disobeying the mandate to spread across the earth.
Significance: It emphasizes that despite human efforts to unite in rebellion, God is supreme.
Result: This action immediately precedes God's judgment in verses 6-8, where He confuses their language. Genesis 11:6-7; The Lord said, “If as one people speaking the same language they have begun to do this, then nothing they plan to do will be impossible for them. Come, let us go down and confuse their language so they will not understand each other.” Genesis 11:6-7 describes God’s intervention at the Tower of Babel, where He observes a united humanity with one language attempting to defy His command to scatter. To prevent unchecked, sinful, and ambitious actions, God decides to confuse their language, causing them to cease building and scatter across the earth.
The "Anti-Community" Effect: 1 Corinthians. 12: 3; “Therefore I make known to you that no one speaking by the Spirit of God calls Jesus accursed, and no one can say that Jesus is Lord except by the Holy Spirit.” AI disrupts the biblically ordained, "flesh-and-blood" community of the church. Relying on AI for emotional, spiritual, or mental health support removes the necessity for genuine human relationship, pastoral care, and vulnerability, as AI lacks a soul, spirit, and genuine care.
End-Times Scenarios: Revelation 13: 12; “And he exercises all the authority of the first beast in his presence, and causes the earth and those who dwell in it to worship the first beast, whose deadly wound was healed.” Some interpret AI as a potential tool in the end-times, specifically regarding systems that could control commerce or enforce widespread compliance (e.g., the "mark of the beast" or the "image of the beast").
Theological Perspective: The core danger is that humanity might trust in technology for, as John Lennox says, health and happiness, rather than relying on God. The Gospel Coalition highlights that while AI can be used for good, it lacks the indwelling Spirit needed to provide true spiritual guidance. In this world in which we liver today, most people are seeing AI as a very good thing and in some cases it is good. However, I can see clearly how this is going to play out in the very near future. AI is going to be totally responsible for lost jobs. Eventually the work force of human interaction will cease to exist. Not totally, but pretty close. What happens when people can’t work or provide for their families? There is only one option, the Government will have to take care of you. That will usher in Socialism. Some of you might think that is a good idea, especially the younger generation. They have no idea of how socialism works. In a nut shell, it doesn’t work. It might seem like it for a while, but what happens when nobody is making money and the money runs out in the government funds. Then communism or dictatorship kicks in. This dictatorship is going to be put in place during the tribulation period. There will be a one world leader (The Antichrist) that will have all the answers to every problem, and he will win the respect of most of the world at that time. The Antichrist is going to use AI to deceive the world into thinking this is the best thing since Sliced Bread. All might appear to be relatively calm and peaceful for the first three and a half years during his reign. During this time, all those that apposed prophecy and end time teaching will feel they were right and the Christians were wrong because of how peaceful it may seem. Then we read a message in 1 Thessalonians 5:3; “For when they shall say, Peace and safety; then sudden destruction cometh upon them, as travail upon a woman with child; and they shall not escape.” I believe this verse covers two events in the end time scenario.
Let me explain; The phrase "don't take anything down from your home" likely refers to the biblical warning in; Matthew 24:17; where it states: "Let him who is on the housetop not go down to take anything out of his house." This verse is part of Jesus' Olivet Discourse, advising immediate flight from Judea during the coming tribulation, emphasizing that the danger is so urgent that saving one's life is more important than saving possessions. This is when Antichrist proclaims to be God at the half way mark into the tribulation. God is telling them to get out of Dodge! Before this event, there will be a false sense of peace, and then sudden destruction as the Bible states.
Key Context and Meaning:
Immediate Urgency: The warning signifies that when the "abomination of desolation" (When Satan desecrates the Holy of Holies in the temple) appears, people must flee instantly without stopping to pack or retrieve belongings.
Housetop Lifestyle: In 1st-century Judea, roofs were flat and often used as living spaces. This verse implies someone should use external staircases to flee rather than entering the house
Context of Fleeing: This is part of a broader warning to avoid the destruction of Jerusalem. Matthew 24:15-22; “So when you see standing in the holy place ‘the abomination that causes desolation, ‘spoken of through the prophet Daniel, let the reader understand, then let those who are in Judea flee to the mountains. Let no one on the housetop go down to take anything out of the house. Let no one in the field go back to get their cloak. How dreadful it will be in those days for pregnant women and nursing mothers! Pray that your flight will not take place in winter or on the Sabbath. For then there will be great distress, unequaled from the beginning of the world until now, and never to be equaled again. “If those days had not been cut short, no one would survive, but for the sake of the elect those days will be shortened.’
Parallel: It is followed by a similar warning in verse 18 as we read above for those in the field not to return for their clothes.
This instruction emphasizes prioritizing survival over material goods during times of extreme crisis advising against returning to one's house to gather possessions during a time of urgent, impending crisis. It signifies the need for immediate, distraction-free escape rather than prioritizing material belongings in a high-stakes scenario.
Key insights from these passages:
Urgency: The instructions emphasize that in a crisis, saving one's life is more important than saving property.
Context: This command warns against descending from a rooftop (a common place for daily activity) to gather belongings inside.
"Remember Lot's wife": This accompanying phrase from Luke 17:32 serves as a warning against looking back or hesitating due to attachment to possessions.
In a modern, non-prophetic context, this is a metaphor for prioritizing safety, acting quickly, and not letting emotional attachment to items hinder necessary, urgent change or evacuation.
Now may be a good time to share the good news about all this before you get uncomfortble with what is coming. All these things are going to happen to those that are left behind after the rapture of the church. So, it boils down to whether or not you want to go through this horrible time that is in the very near future. Receive Jesus Christ and become born-again into the Holy Spirit and if you confession of faith is true, you will escape all that is coming to the world as we read in Luke 21:36-37; “Watch therefore, and pray always that you may be counted worthy to escape all these things that will come to pass, and to stand before the Son of Man.” And in the daytime He was teaching in the temple, but at night He went out and stayed on the mountain called Olivet.”
God reveals everything that we should know about end times so we can escape all the evil that is coming to the world. as it is written in the scriptures. What amazes me is this, How can most of the religions of the world, including Christianity ignore Gods warnings. This is the God of the Universe that knows all things. He doesn’t want us to go through this horrible time, so He warns us about how to avoid it. If you ignore His warnings, you will be cast into the great tribulation, but even worse yet, into the lake of Burning Fire for all eternity. I’m sure most people don’t have a clue what is going to take place during this time, but trust me, You don’t want to be here. AI, which is growing at an exponential growth, is telling us who are watching, that the end is near, nearer than you can imagine. As a matter of fact, everything that God warned us about just before the return of Jesus for His bride (The True Church) is either happening or is about to happen very soon.
Remember Noah and his family. God warned the people of that day through Noah that the world was going to end with a flood. They laughed and mocked Noah for one hundred twenty years. We are seeing the same action from those that are going to perish when God judges all unbelievers at the end of the tribulation. If you are one of those that are mocking and laughing at us, you won’t be laughing long.
So, in retrospect, AI may seem like a good thing right now, but don’t be deceived, it will blow up in our face soon.
I’m going to end with this warning to all who take the Bible seriously.
2 Timothy 3: 1-5; “But know this, that in the last days perilous times will come: For men will be lovers of themselves, lovers of money, boasters, proud, blasphemers, disobedient to parents, unthankful, unholy, unloving, unforgiving, slanderers, without self-control, brutal, despisers of good, traitors, headstrong, haughty, lovers of pleasure rather than lovers of God, having a form of godliness but denying its power. And from such people turn away!
We are now living in the days that this prophecy was in reference too.
The Bible warns that the last days will be marked by intense spiritual deception, characterized by the rise of false Christs and prophets performing signs to mislead even the elect; Matthew 24:24; “For false christs and false prophets will rise and show great signs and wonders to deceive, if possible, even the elect.” It is described as a period of "perilous times" where people will follow doctrines based on personal desires, neglecting sound truth for fables.
Key NKJV Scriptures on End-Times Deception
Matthew 24:4-5; Jesus warns, "Take heed that no one deceives you," noting that many will come in His name claiming to be the Christ, and false prophets will deceive many. Perhaps AI.
2 Timothy 3:1-5, as we read above, Paul warns that "evil men and impostors will grow worse and worse, deceiving and being deceived". The era is marked by self-love, pride, and a form of godliness that denies God's power.
2 Thessalonians 2:9-11; “The coming of the lawless one is according to the working of Satan, with all power, signs, and lying wonders, and with all unrighteous deception among those who perish, because they did not receive the love of the truth, that they might be saved. And for this reason God will send them strong delusion, that they should believe the lie,” The coming of the lawless one is accompanied by "power, signs, and lying wonders," and God will send a "strong delusion" to those who did not love the truth.
2 Timothy 4:3-4: “For the time will come when they will not endure sound doctrine, but according to their own desires, because they have itching ears, they will gather up for themselves teachers; and they will turn their ears away from the truth, and be turned aside to fables.” People will not endure sound doctrine, but will seek teachers who satisfy their "itching ears".
Key Characteristics of End-Times Deception
Miraculous Deception: The Antichrist and his followers will use great signs and wonders to deceive. Matthew 24:24; “For false christs and false prophets will rise and show great signs and wonders to deceive, if possible, even the elect.”
Internal Apostasy: A "great apostasy" or turning away from the faith will occur, with many abandoning the truth; 2 Thessalonians 2:3; “Let no one deceive you by any means; for that Day will not come unless the falling away comes first, and the man of sin is revealed, the son of perdition,”
Cultural Shifts: A rise in selfish, "lovers of pleasure" behavior, yet holding a "form of godliness"
The Remedy: Continued focus on Scripture, which is profitable for doctrine and equipping believers; 2 Timothy 3:14-17; “But you must continue in the things which you have learned and been assured of, knowing from whom you have learned them, and that from childhood you have known the Holy Scriptures, which are able to make you wise for salvation through faith which is in Christ Jesus. All Scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness, that the man of God may be complete, thoroughly equipped for every good work.”
So, after all is said, this message is a warning of what is to come. It may not do any immediate harm right now, but you can bet your bottom dollar that the Antichrist will use it for total evil when his reign begins. Like I said previously, none of this should matter to you if you have given your life to Jesus Christ.
May Christ dwell in your hearts through faith, that you, being rooted and grounded in love, may have strength to comprehend with all the saints what is the breadth and length and height and depth, and to know the love of Christ that surpasses knowledge, that you may be filled with all the fullness of God.
The grass withers, the flower fades, but the word of our God will stand forever.
