BIBLE MEDITATION:
"After this manner therefore pray ye: Our Father which art in heaven, Hallowed by Thy name." Matthew 6:9-10
ENCOURAGING WORD:
When you pray, "Our Father which art in heaven, hallowed be Thy name. Thy kingdom come, thy will be done . . . on earth as it is in heaven" do you realize that this prayer has not yet been answered, but it will be answered? Jesus Christ is literally, actually, visibly, bodily coming back to this earth. Do you believe that? Do you think that Jesus Christ would have taught us to pray this prayer if it would not have been answered? His kingdom has not come yet on earth. His will is not being done on earth. But it shall be; it will be because our Lord taught us to pray that.
Most mainline denominational churches do not take a literal view of the return of Jesus Christ to earth to set up His kingdom. They allegorize it away. I don't see how you can make any sense of God's Word if you don't believe that Jesus Christ is returning to earth. What did the two men in white apparel say to the disciples when Jesus ascending into Heaven: "Men of Galilee, why do you stand gazing up into heaven? The same Jesus, who was taken up from you into heaven, will so come in like manner as you saw Him go into heaven." Jesus is returning to earth to set up His kingdom.
We read in Revelation 20:1-3; “Then I saw an angel coming down from heaven, having the key to the bottomless pit and a great chain in his hand. He laid hold of the dragon, that serpent of old, who is the Devil and Satan, and bound him for a thousand years; and he cast him into the bottomless pit, and shut him up, and set a seal on him, so that he should deceive the nations no more till the thousand years were finished. But after these things he must be released for a little while.” This event has clearly not taken place yet as the denominational churches of today preach. Why do they keep denying the true and inherent Word of God? Some Christian sects even go as far as to say that we are in the thousand-year millennium right now. Has anybody been watching the news lately? We read in the book of Isaiah where it says in 11:6-9; “The wolf also shall dwell with the lamb, the leopard shall lie down with the young goat, the calf and the young lion and the fatling together; and a little child shall lead them. The cow and the bear shall graze; their young ones shall lie down together; and the lion shall eat straw like the ox. The nursing child shall play by the cobra’s hole, and the weaned child shall put his hand in the viper’s den. They shall not hurt nor destroy in all my holy mountain, for the earth shall be full of the knowledge of the Lordas the waters cover the sea.” Another question that I need to ask, when did all this happen? I’ve studied a lot of history about the last two thousand years and I have never read where this event has taken place even for one day, let alone a thousand years. It is going to be a thousand year period of time where Jesus Christ Himself will rule from the throne of David from the city of Jerusalem. Now, I know this never happened, Jesus only lived on this earth for thirty three years. Luke 1:32; tells us; “He (Jesus) will be great, and will be called the Son of the Highest; and the Lord God will give Him the throne of His father David.” Once again, when did Jesus rule from the throne of David? In case you are not aware, Jesus Christ is now sitting at the right hand of the Father making intersession for us. Jesus has not taken rulership over us yet, but He will. We read in 2 Corinthians 4:4; “Satan, who is the god of this world, has blinded the minds of those who don’t believe. They are unable to see the glorious light of the Good News. They don’t understand this message about the glory of Christ, who is the exact likeness of God.” Satan has been the god of this world since the fall of man, but Jesus Christ is coming back to claim what is rightfully His.
So, if all this teaching in Revelation is supposed to be spiritualized or allegorized, why do we read in Revelation 1:3; where it says; “Blessed is he who reads and those who hear the words of this prophecy, and keep those things which are written in it; for the time is near.” The Bible has gone as far as to say, there is a special blessing for whoever reads and hears the words of this “prophecy!” (A prediction of something to come). For Jesus, the time was near, but for us it was two thousand years away. We live in a time dimension where Jesus is outside of time, so two thousand years for us is two days to Jesus. 2 Peter 3:8 tells us; “But, beloved, do not forget this one thing, that with the Lord one day is as a thousand years, and a thousand years as one day.” The problem that we have is that we are always trying to understand God. If God is small enough for us to understand than he is not big enough to be God. Isaiah 55:8-9; ““For My (God) thoughts are not your thoughts, nor are your ways my ways,” says the Lord. “For as the heavens are higher than the earth, so are my ways higher than your ways, and my thoughts than your thoughts.” This is why we are saved by grace through faith, because there is no way for us to understand all that God has instore for us. We need to just trust and obey, for it is the only way!
ACTION POINT: The Bible is designed as a blueprint as to how we are to live life. It starts out in Genesis and ends in Revelation. When man fell in the Garden of Eden, we fell out of fellowship with God, therefore, God had to come up with a plan as to how he would redeem man back to Himself. This happened when God Himself took on the form of Man (Jesus Christ) and entered His creation with the sole purpose of dying for the sins of the world and for making reconciliation for our sins. Even though He purchased us back when He died on the cross, (Which was the betrothal or engagement as we refer to it) He still has not yet come back to claim His bride. That is what Revelation is all about. Revelation is the climax to all history starting with the rapture of His bride, (The Born-again Believers,) then the seven years tribulation where the last three and a half years God will judge the earth dwellers for their rejection of His Son, Jesus Christ and to bring the Jews to their knees through severe persecution where their eyes will finally be opened and they will finally receive Jesus Christ as their long-awaited Messiah. Then Jesus will return where all the world will see Him, and after the sheep and goat judgement which will take place immediately upon His return, He will set up His one thousand years reign on earth where He will rule from the Throne of David from the city of Jerusalem. The proof is in the scriptures, all you have to do is receive Jesus Christ as you Lord and Savior and become born-again into the Holy Spirit and then get into an intense study of God’s Word. It will be then that you will be enlighten to the truth of the Holy Bible as it was meant to be. God gave us His Words for our learning, so there will be no excuse when you stand before Him at the White Throne Judgment where you will be judged for all your sins and be sentenced to an eternity of exile from the true and living God forever if you have rejected His only propitiation for you sins! God will not force your hand; it is up to you what you choose to believe! “Written To the glory of God, Inspired by the Holy Spirit!” Amen!
